Wren is a typical, everyday, girl, at least that’s what she believes. What she doesn’t know is that she’s part of a much bigger picture. She’s about to find out and it will change everything she’s ever known.
When a new guy shows up at school, she can’t help but feel connected to him. It’s a connection she has to fight and keep secret from her boyfriend, Jake.
Just when her life begins coming together, it comes unraveled. Some secrets are hard to keep, but others aren’t meant to be kept.
Wren discovers that she’s a descendant of the one and only Little Red Riding Hood.
The second everything comes out into the open Wren’s world changes drastically. She learns that Jake is a hunter, along with their friend Noah. Her other close friend, Aiden, is a descendant of Van Helsing, and Liam…Liam is the wolf from all of the stories she’s been told about.
The only difference is that Liam isn’t a big bad wolf.
No, that’s not how Wren’s story goes. In fact, it’s far from it. Instead of being afraid of Liam, Wren is drawn to him. They share a deep connection, but that’s all thanks to the curse they share. It’s a curse that had destroyed her mother’s love, her grandmother’s love, and the many descendants that came before her. The curse was meant to destroy her happiness.
Thankfully the curse can be broken. It’s not an easy task though, and with danger lurking around every corner it makes it nearly impossible. Add the fact that Wren can’t tell Liam and Jake how to break the curse and it makes it that much more difficult.
Fortunately, fate takes the situation into its own hands.
They are saved but not without a price.
Loved ones will die. Wren’s faith will be tested, and her heart will be broken.
Only the one that she truly loves will save her in the end.

Snow is a special girl with a special gift. She’s a Winter Fae, and a princess, but she doesn’t know that yet. Being raised in the human world with her best friend Tucker and her grandmother has shielded her from reality. They have kept her true identity hidden from her to keep her safe.
Snow had been safely hidden, until now. A Summer Fae has uncovered their secret, and he’s come to take her to the Fae world.
Everything Snow has known changes in an instant when she’s taken through a portal. The Fae world is much harsher than the Human world that she had become comfortable with. She’s got a lot to learn, and quickly. The first thing she learns is that Winter Fae and Summer Fae don’t mix. Unfortunately, that doesn’t stop her from getting attached to the very Fae that had kidnapped her.
Forest, her captor, fights against the connection that seems to be pulling Snow and him together. When Snow pushes to get closer his defenses come crashing down. For Snow, everything seemed to be coming together. She was finding her place in this world. That joy is short-lived when her world once again becomes unraveled.
What Forest and Snow feel can never be, she has to return to her kingdom and he has to flee.
Soon Snow finds herself safely at home with her father, the King. Snow settles into her new role as Princess, but that doesn’t erase what she felt for the Summer Fae. Her heart longs for him and then breaks when unexpected news reaches her of his untimely demise.
She finds herself finding comfort in a set of familiar arms, Everest, a half-breed who reminds her of everything that she lost. He mends her heart while keeping her safe.
That doesn’t stop danger from finding Snow.
No matter what she does her world keeps falling apart around her. Every decision she makes places her on different paths to her future, but which is the right one to follow.
Snow must decide which path to take or risk it all. Will fate intervene or will someone else decide for her? Will love be able to triumph? Only the future knows.

Harper is a young girl who grew up in a special town, a town called Linbridge. What’s so special about this town? Well, it might be the simple fact that most of its residents are vampires. They aren’t the bloodthirsty type though. They only want to live in peaceful harmony with the humans surrounding them. Of course, no one dares to defy the rules that the vampires have placed over the town.
When Harper’s eighteenth birthday comes, it comes with the chance to become a protected or an unclaimed. The protected are well taken care of by their vampire protectors while the unclaimed are fair game for whatever goes bump in the night.
A week before her birthday her current protector, Finnick, rejects his claim to continue being her protector. Harper’s whole world changes in an instant, but it’s not all bad. She meets a few new friends. There’s a connection she has with them, one that she can’t exactly explain. Along with the new friends, she is reunited with an old one, Alex. He’s one of the unclaimed.
Just when things seem to be at their best, everything once again crumbles down around Harper. Lies are uncovered, and some truths are revealed. There’s a bigger picture to Harper’s connection with her newest friends. They aren’t what they seem. In fact, they aren’t even human. They’re vampires, part of a vampire clan to be precise and they hunt down other vampires who break the laws of their kind.
Harper soon falls for one of the clan members, but it all comes unraveled with the sudden appearance of an old flame. Clara has held the clan's hearts for centuries.
Will Clara’s past with the clan destroy everything Harper has or will another threat take her life away? Can love prevail or will it only destroy her more?
Harper may run, but she won’t be able to hide forever.

Tuesday Teaser

Tuesday Teaser

I released the first three chapters of this story in the end of Ivan's book, from The Vampires of Linbridge, but I decided to rewrite it from the start. Here's a sample from one of the new chapters. I've gone back to the beginning when Ava first gets turned. It's still a bit rough so bear with me. I'm getting a lot of progress done with this story and I can't wait to share more of it with you.

Enjoy!!

****

My heart gets lodged in my throat as I turn down the dark road that would take me home. It was the fastest way to go but it took me through a small forest that separated one side of the town from the other.
As I reach the trees the car chugs and the lights flash.
I curse and silently plead for it to behave itself.
My luck only gets worse as it chugs again and then stalls. I manage to pull off to the side of the road before I whimper softly.
I lock my doors and then reach into my pocket to grab my phone.
I pull it out and curse my luck again. The screen was black. It was dead which meant I had no way to contact anyone.
A loud howl cuts through the silence of the night and I shiver in fear.
“This cannot possibly get worse.” I mutter as I stare out the windshield.
After a few moments a set of headlights light up my car before they pull in behind me. I glance back nervously as someone exits the car.
They walk up to my window and then knock on it.
I roll it down a little bit.
“Do you need help?” The young man asks with an easy grin.
“My car won’t start and my phone is dead. If you could let me use your phone to make a call that’s all I’d need.” I reply.
“I’m sorry. I don’t actually have a phone.” He answers.
“I could give you a ride home if you’d like.” He then insists. “A pretty girl like you shouldn’t be out here all alone.”
“I’d rather not leave my car.” I reply.
He nods and then glances down the road before turning his attention back towards me.
“You could have made this easy for me.” He bites out as his eyes turn red.
I rush to roll up my window but before I can get it up he smashes his hand through the glass. I scream in terror as he reaches inside for me.
Somehow I manage to slip out of my seatbelt before I exit the other side of the car.
Tears fill my eyes as I begin running as fast as my feet could carry me.
It’s useless.
I skid to a stop as the vampire appears in front of me.
“Don’t be like that. I just want a taste. I won’t hurt you.” He promises.
“Yeah, like I’m going to believe that. You just punched out my window.” I snap while I step back away from him as he moves forward.
“You ticked me off.” He growls.
A devilish smirk spreads across his lips as he stalks closer. “Just one bite and this will be all over. You can go home and pretend it never happened.”
“No.” I reply weakly.
“Too bad…” He replies before he suddenly grabs me in his arms.
A scream falls from my lips as he bites into my neck savagely.

Tuesday Teaser!!

Tuesday Teaser

Since I've been working on the next book in The Onyx Wolves Series I've decided to give you a teaser from Brave, Book 4. Enjoy!

****

“We need to figure out what we’re going to do with Blue and Harley.” Jake stresses as he walks into the kitchen were the rest of us were eating breakfast. “We can’t keep them locked in the basement forever.”
Each of us was exhausted thanks to Harley’s constant screaming. We hadn’t had a good night’s sleep in three days.
My temper was reaching its limit.
I couldn’t take much more; my wolf couldn’t take it much longer either.
“Harley can stay down there until she takes her last breath as far as I care.” I bite out a bit harshly.
“Parker…” Rowan breathes out.
“I could take her to my father if you’d rather not have her here. My father is known for his treatment of prisoners. He’s ruthless and cruel until he gets the answers he needs.” Jake suggests.
“Take her.” I breathe out without hesitating.
Jake snorts and then turns his attention towards Rowan.
After a few moments Rowan sighs. “Do you think your father could get any more information out of her than we have?”
Jake shrugs. “It’s worth a try. He might not be able to but at least you guys won’t have to listen to her another day. My father has a place where she can scream all she wants and not a soul will hear her.”
Rowan glances around the room before nodding his head. “Then take her.”
I swear everyone breathes out a sigh of relief.
“Alright, I’ll take her as soon as I eat some breakfast.” Jake announces.
“When is London coming?” I ask, changing the subject slightly.
“He called earlier and said that he would be here this afternoon.” Dillon answers around a mouthful of bacon.
“Good.” I breathe out.
Without warning Harley begins screaming. Everyone groans in response, even Blue from his spot in the room next to her.
“Shut up, woman.” He yells in attempt to get her to stop.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t help.
“Do you have to eat breakfast, Jake?” Dillon groans dramatically.
Jake chuckles lightly until he glances around the room at the rest of us who were not amused in the slightest. We wanted Harley gone as soon as possible.
“I’ll eat quickly.” He insists.

Tuesday Teaser

Tuesday Teaser!!

Here's a throw back to an older work of mine. I just went through it, updating and editing. Even after all this time it still gets to me. My heart is in this story and no matter how many times I read it I can't help but love it. If you haven't read it you should go check it out.

This is a short teaser from Losing Levi

****

“Is she okay, Logan?” Dax asks quietly.
“I’m not sure, Dax,” Logan whispers.
I groan and open my eyes a little. Unfortunately, the voices I hear and the face that comes into view are completely different.
I look deep into the green eyes that I loved so much and smile.
“I miss you, Levi,” I whisper and then close my eyes tightly as I listen to their voices again.
“Damn, she really is messed up, isn’t she?” Dax states quietly.
“Yeah, you would be too if you lost someone that you loved. It’s not something that goes away overnight, and from the little she told me yesterday she only just lost the guy.” Logan explains.
“That really does suck.” Dax’s voice pauses and then continues. “That guy you saw her with last night, she told us that was her brother. I just figured I’d tell you that so you wouldn’t be mad about it when she does finally come back around.”
“She said he was her brother?” Logan asks with a hint of relief in his voice.
“Yeah, it was her half-brother. You must really like her, cause I’ve never seen you so mad about seeing a girl with another guy.” Dax snorts.
Logan answers after a few moments of silence. “I like her, but she will never fill Maggie’s place, no one will.”
Their voices go silent as I drift off into a deeper sleep.

Update

Update

I've been absent for a little while so I'd like to give an update on what I'm currently working on and what you can expect for the coming months ahead.

As of right now, I am going through all of my already published books. I usually do this at the beginning of each year, but things kind of got in the way.

So, for the month of October, I'll be sorting through, updating, and editing all of my previous works. Right now I've gotten through three of my series and a few of my singles. If all goes as planned, I should be finished with this updating by November.

While I've been updating, I have been working on Brave, Book 4 in the Onyx Wolves Series. It's a slow process since I'm not focusing all of my attention on it, but I'm making progress.

Once I finish updating all of my previous works I'll be focusing my time on getting Brave done and then I'll move on to the next book in The Chosen Series.

Since the holidays are coming, I'm not going to make any promises for any releases this year. What I will be doing is gearing up for next year. I'll be planning releases while writing as fast as my fingers can type.

You can expect lots of Tuesday Teasers, Giveaways, and other fun things from me over the next few months.

A day in my boots.

Ever wonder how my day goes during the week, well wonder no more. Here's a little insight into my everyday routine being a stay at home mom and full time writer. (And thanks to my post's title the song 'These Boots Are Made For Walkin' by Loretta Lynn is stuck in my head. It fits perfectly.)

****

Early Mornings

First of all, let me say that I am definitely not a morning person and neither are either of my daughters. It makes getting all of us up for school an ordeal unlike any other. There are alarms for other alarms. We even have an alarm to remind us it's time to leave. When we all do manage to get up it's a scramble to get dressed and get fed before we're rushing out the door. I swear that 8 o'clock leave time comes way too quickly.

As you can see my phone is full of alarms. Alarms to wake up. Alarms to get my butt moving, and alarms to leave. I know that if I leave at a certain time I'll get to my destination at the correct time. I pride myself on never being late to drop my girls off for school or when picking them up.

The Drive to School

While other moms are putting their kids on buses I drive mine to school. It's a twenty minute ride there and a twenty minute ride back home. The plus side is the beautiful scenery that we get to see along the way. Most of our rides to school are pretty quiet but my oldest loves to sing along with the radio. As you can see the four lane highway we travel is pretty empty. I hardly ever have to go any slower than the speed limit. I might have to watch out for crossing deer but after living in Chicago I realize how fortunate I am. I love not having to fight traffic. (My daughter took the pictures of  our drive to and from school over my shoulder since I despise using my phone while driving. We had a nice discussion about that both times. It's never too early to teach them to use technology safely.)

Coming back Home

Once I get back home my goats and chickens demand my attention. Like my goats literally yell at me as I exit the car. They're only happy and quiet once they're fed. These lovely pygmy goats are Bae-Bae, Buckie, Rayne, and May. Once I'm done outside with the chores that need done every morning I move back into the house. The second I'm inside all of the indoor pets demand my attention. Kitties get fed, puppy dogs get fed and let outside to go potty. The bunny gets fed, and fresh water is distributed to everyone.

Hot Chocolate Time

Who doesn't like a nice cup of hot chocolate?

Once everyone is happy I finally get to sit down, if only for a moment. I don't drink coffee but I do have a morning ritual of drinking a cup of hot chocolate mixed with a breakfast essentials pack. Since I skip breakfast this is the next best thing. Mind you, I don't usually get to sit down until around 9:30 or 10:00.

While drinking my hot chocolate I bring out my laptop and check stats for the day while sitting on the couch. I put together necessary posts and whatnot. Most days I'm terrible at this and I end up putting it off until later in the day.

My Desk

This is where some of the magic is made. I just got my desk early September so I've been spending a lot of time here. And yes, it's always this clean. I can't stand clutter. Everything has to have it's place or I get a bit crazy.

As you can see I'm never alone at my desk. The second I leave my chair someone is always stealing it. That little darling on my chair is my special kitty, Sweetie. She absolutely adores me and has to be near me at all times. She also leaps into my arms and loves to give hugs and kisses. She's got some of the most beautiful blue eyes. Unfortunately, you can't see them very well in this picture.

Work and Housework

As soon as my hot chocolate is gone I get back to it. I do what needs to be done around the house to keep it in order. In between tasks I sit down and write. Sometimes I get a few sentences and other times I get a chapter out. I try to do my best to schedule out housework so that I'm not overwhelming myself. There's a fine line that I walk to keep everything running smoothly. Some days I take this time to catch up on sleep. Since I stay up so late at night I need this time in order to function.

The Pickup

When it's time to pick up my kids from school I leave early. I bring my laptop and a pop along. If I get to school early I get a great spot in the line of cars waiting to pick up students. I've learned that if I don't get this great spot my kids believe I'm leaving them at school. The last time I was slightly late I had both of them crying as they exited the building. I felt terrible and vowed never to let that happen again. So, I get to school forty minutes before dismissal. During this forty minutes I sip on my pop and pull out my laptop to get some more work done. Usually, I can type out at least a page before I have to put my things away. Trust me it helps the time pass by quickly.

Home Again

The ride back home from school is always lively. I get stories about how their days went. We sing and tell jokes along the way. Sometimes we take the back roads home. It takes a few minutes longer to get home but the kids love seeing the horses, cows, and other critters along the way. Once we're home it's time to unpack book bags, time for a snack, and then time for homework. I found getting homework done sooner rather than later in the day is best. Of course when it comes to math papers those wait until daddy comes home. He's the math wiz in our house. I'm terrible with math. Don't get me started on the common core math, ugh.

(Again, my daughter took the picture. I think she did a fantastic job.)

A Moment to Breathe

Once everyone is finished with homework I get to sit down for a break again. I usually snack on something quickly before I'm back up getting dinner ready. I always try to time it just right for when the hubby gets home.

Dinner Time

These things are the best. I'm a great cook but let's be honest sometimes it's a pain to prepare meals. When I'm not feeling it I pop one of these baby's into the oven and walk away. Thankfully everyone in this house gets excited for these meals. Sometimes they even request them.

Things get easier after dinner. I relax with the hubby and kids for a little while before I begin getting things ready for the next day. I pack lunches for everyone and then help the girls pick out outfits for the next day.

Before long it's bed time. My husband puts the kids to bed every night and then sits with me for a little while before going to bed himself. He wakes up super early for work so he gets sleepy pretty quickly.

The Night Shift

This is how I spend most of my nights. I sit on my comfy couch while watching Netflix. Can anyone guess what I'm watching tonight? Here's an easy hint: (You have to sing it) ' Two can keep a secret, if one of them is dead... '

Did you figure it out? It's Pretty Little Liars!!

I either spend my time watching some of my favorite shows while writing or I plug my headphones into my phone and listen to some music. It gets pretty quiet here at night while the hubby and kids are sleeping so between 10pm and 3am is when I get the bulk of my work done.

****

So, there you have it. That's a typical day for me. Of course there's a lot that fills the space between but I doubt anyone wants to see pictures of me mopping floors and scrubbing toilets. Doing what I love is the best, even if it doesn't mean my life isn't as exciting as the characters in my books.

Tuesday Teaser!!

Tuesday Teaser!!

I know I should be working on one of the many series that I'm behind on but I've been working on a side project. Sometimes these side projects give me a break between books. They help me clear my mind and give me a boost to work on other projects. Anyway, here's a teaser from a new Reverse Harem book that I'm working on called Midnight Moon. Those who have read Ivan's story may have noticed that I added the first three chapters for this story at the end.

Here's a slightly steamy teaser from Midnight Moon.

**Fair warning, this probably won't be released until sometime next year.**

****

Kane falls asleep quickly while I struggle. I couldn’t ignore his body pressed against mine. The vampire side of me was in overdrive. It wanted to be closer to him.
It takes every ounce of strength I have to keep my hands to myself.
I had to stay in control before I did something that I would regret.
Unfortunately my hormones win and I find myself turning to face Kane. I place my hand against his cheek and then lean in closer.
He doesn’t move as I press my lips firmly against his. Within a few seconds he comes to life under my touch. His hand reaches up to thread his finger through my hair while he kisses me back.
His yellow eyes stare into mine as we continue to kiss.
When we break apart he pants for his next breathe. “What was that for?”
“I couldn’t stop myself.” I whisper before reaching around to grab a handful of his hair to pull his lips back down to mine again.
After a few more minutes Kane pulls away. “We need to stop before this goes too far.”
I nod in agreement before placing my forehead against his chest. My fangs bite into my bottom lip as I fight to stay in control.
Moving slowly I kiss his bare chest before moving my lips to his neck.
His heartbeat speeds up as I scrape my fangs against his skin.
Before I can bite him he pushes me back onto the bed before moving his body over mine. Our combined weight pushes me into the mattress.
A soft moan falls from my lips as he nuzzles his face against my neck.
I close my eyes and grip him tightly as his fangs scrape across my neck. His touch causes me to shiver uncontrollably with excitement.
“Bite me.” I plead desperately.
If we weren’t going to go any farther I needed him to do this for me. I need a release and being bitten was nearly as good as having sex.
At least that’s what Tinsley had told me.
Right now I was really hoping that she had been telling me the truth.

Ivan Book 2.5

The Vampires of Linbridge

****

I've released Ivan's story early. Since things are a bit crazy here I decided not to wait. On a good note my father's surgery went well and he's recovering nicely.

Anyway, here it is...Ivan's story. Enjoy

****

Ivan has a war brewing inside of him.
He can’t escape the messes that he’s made and he can’t seem to figure out how to fix his relationship with Harper. He feels more like an outsider rather than part of the clan.
It doesn’t help that he also feels as if Harper is replacing him with Silas.
Struggling to contain his inner demons Ivan realizes that he can’t fight them on his own. He needs Erik. He needs James, and he needs Harper most of all.
Meanwhile, the search for Silas continues. Just when they lose hope of finding him Harper reveals a clue to where Marcus may have hidden him.
The clock ticks as the clan and Ivan rush to find Silas.
Just when everything comes together, Ivan faces the reality of mortality. Thanks to one of Marcus’s traps Ivan’s life is put at risk. He realizes that this might be the end, but he’s not going down without a fight. He’s got too much to live for.
Will he survive? With a little luck, he might.

Release Date and teaser for Ivan!!

Release Date for Ivan

Friday, September 29th, 2017!!

I've got a lot of work to make this happen but there it is, the release date. As soon as I've got the description ready and the pre-order I'll post links. For now since I'm falling a bit behind I'll leave you with a teaser.

****

After a few minutes James looks at me. “This is bad, like really, really, bad.”
“What is it?” I ask reluctantly.
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to know what I had gotten myself into.
“I can’t do anything with it. If I do it will blow. If you move it will blow. Marcus rigged it so that no one could diffuse it.” He explains.
“What aren’t you telling me?” I push.
James sighs and glances away from me for a moment before finally answering me. “It’s rigged to a timer.”
“How much time do we have?” I ask.
“We have less than five minutes.” He replies.
“Damn it.” I curse.
I pinch the bridge of my nose while closing my eyes. “What do we do now?”
“I’ll search the rest of the house. Once I’m done I’ll figure out how to get you out of this house alive, okay.” James replies.
“James…” I breathe out. “I don’t think that’s a good idea. The last thing we need is both of us stuck in this position.”
“I’ll be careful, Ivan.” He insists.
Without another word he rushes off to check the rest of the house. Closing my eyes I take in a deep breath to keep myself calm.
I wasn’t honestly sure I would get out of this in one piece.
I sure as hell wouldn’t risk James’s life if it came down to it. I would force him to leave and stay behind to deal with this situation myself, even if it cost me my life.
After the longest three minutes of my life James returns.
“Did you find anything?” I ask.
He holds up a few sets of keys. “I found these scattered around. I have no idea why but we might need them. With the games that Marcus liked to play we can’t take anything for granted.”
I nod in agreement. God only knew what the keys were for. For all we knew they were necessary to release Silas. Then again they may have been placed there just as a distraction.
Either way it was smart thinking on James’s part to collect them.
“Were there any downstairs? I didn’t pay attention.” I reply.
“Obviously…” James snorts before sighing. “I’ll check quickly.”
He rushes off in a blur of motion before returning a few moments later.
I raise my brow in question as he holds up a sealed envelope with Harper’s name written on it.
“What the hell?” I breathe out.

James shrugs. “Who knows, but this doesn’t matter right now. Right now we have to figure out how to get you out of here before you get yourself blown up.”

Tuesday Teaser & Cover Reveal!!

Tuesday Teaser!!

I'm going to bundle a Cover Reveal and a Tuesday Teaser today. So, here it is Ivan's book. It's going to be Book 2.5 in The Vampires of Linbridge Series. It's going to be in Ivan's POV and will bridge Book Two and Book Three much like Erik Book 1.5 did. I've nearly finished writing Ivan's story so I'll be planning a release date soon. For now here's a teaser from Ivan's book. Enjoy!!

****

My mind wonders back to the days I had spent with Harper. I sort through everything I had done right along with everything I had done wrong.
Choosing Clara over Harper had been the worst mistake.
I had been a fool and it had cost me everything.
After a few more minutes on the road I spot a secluded rest stop where I could hopefully find someone to eat since I had failed to pack any blood before I had left.
Once again I was full of poor decisions.
Pulling into the rest stop I park my bike in the parking lot before climbing off of my seat. I sigh roughly while pulling my helmet off.
I scan the area quickly but only find one heartbeat inside the building.
Fortunately there wouldn’t be any witnesses but unfortunately I had to feed on whoever was there. I had no other choice. I had gone too long without eating.
When a young woman walks out of the building I curse my luck.
She looked just like Harper which was going to make this entire encounter painful. It was also going to make this situation dangerous for the girl.
Instead of moving towards her I force myself to remain in place while she goes to her car and then slips inside. It was best to let her leave.
I struggle not to run after her as she drives away.
Closing my eyes I growl out in frustration. Seconds later I find myself running after the girl’s car as my vicious side is unleashed.
She doesn’t get far before I slam my body into the side of her vehicle hard enough to cause it to flip. The pain from the impact only lasts for a moment as I watch the car roll over twice before landing upside down.
The scent of girl’s blood hits me and my fangs cut into my bottom lip as my hunger grows.
Once again I watch the girl as she crawls out of the car window and through the broken glass scattered on the ground. The glass only causes her to bleed more which sends my senses into overdrive.
Before I can stop myself I attack.
The girl screams but I ignore her while drinking down her sweet blood.
I don’t stop until her heart stops beating.
I finally pull away and pant for my next breath. I begin to panic as I look down at the girl and then towards her blood covering my hands.
I had killed her.

I had murdered this girl without a second thought.

Tuesday Teaser!!

Tuesday Teaser!!

While everyone's been reading Blood I've been working on Book 2.5. This one is going to be in Ivan's point of view. I chose him because there's a lot going on with him right now and he needed a voice to explain it all. I haven't created a cover yet so bear with me. The good news is that I'm nearly finished and I will be moving directly on to book 3. For now here's a teaser from Ivan's POV. Enjoy!!

****

The second Harper pulls away my world becomes dark once again. Our moment had ended and definitely not in the way that I had expected.
Her eyes revealed her disgust.
I swear my chest felt as if she had punched her hand straight through my chest to squeeze the life out of my heart.
Instead of sticking around to hear anything that she had to say I walk away.
Once I’m in my room I slam the door shut before leaning back against it.
Closing my eyes I try and fail to block the pain slicing through my heart. I pant for my next breath before whimpering softly.
When I can’t take any more I grab the nearest object, which happened to be a framed picture of Harper, and I, and throw it against the wall. The glass shatters and then falls to the floor.
I growl out as I grab something else and throw it.
Before I know it everything in my room is left lying in broken pieces on the floor.
I freeze in place when the door squeaks open.
“Oh, Ivan…” Harper whispers.
“Go away, Harper.” I snap a bit too harshly.
“No.” She replies stubbornly.
Growling in frustration I turn to face her before pointing towards the door. “Leave now.”
She shakes her head while crossing her arms across her chest. “No.”
“Damn it, Harper, just leave.” I try one more time.
“I’m not going to leave, Ivan. Not like this, not when you’re…” She trails off.
“When I’m what, Harper?” I grit out. “…When I’m about to lose control, when I’m about to rip my heart out because it hurts too much, or would you rather stare at me with disgust some more?”
“Enough, Ivan…” She snaps. “I’m worried about you, okay. I still care about you.”
“Then why did you look at me like the very thought of biting me made you sick?” I push.
“I was angry with myself, Ivan.”She replies. “I didn’t want you to take more away from what happened than what it actually meant.”
“Obviously I knew it didn’t mean anything.” I growl out.
“Are you sure because from where I’m standing it appears that it meant much more to you than just nothing.” Harper argues while waving her hands around at the wreckage in my room.
“What does it matter anymore, Harper? You’ve already replaced me. You never have to love me again. James, Erik, and Silas can give you everything you want and need.” I reply.
“Ivan…” Harper begins softly. “I still need you.”
“No. You’re just being selfish.” I bite out.
“And you’re being a jerk.” She snarls. “Did you really think this would be easy, that it would be easy to stand in front of you after what you did to me?”
“I’m sorry, Harper.” I reply. “How can I make you see how sorry I am?”
She shakes her head while closing her eyes. “You just don’t get it, Ivan.”
“What is there to get?” I ask.
“You crushed my heart and then you flaunted your relationship with Clara in front of me. I can’t look at you, even now, without seeing her still.” Harper replies.

“I will never be able to get close to you until she disappears completely.” She adds.

Harper is a young girl who grew up in a special town, a town called Linbridge. What’s so special about this town? Well, it might be the simple fact that most of its residents are vampires. They aren’t the bloodthirsty type though. They only want to live in peaceful harmony with the humans surrounding them. Of course no one dares to defy the rules that the vampires have placed over the town. When Harper’s eighteenth birthday comes it comes with the chance to become a protected or an unclaimed. The protected are well taken care of by their vampire protectors while the unclaimed are fair game for whatever goes bump in the night. A week before her birthday her current protector, Finnick, rejects his claim to continue being her protector. Harper’s whole world changes in an instant but it’s not all bad. She meets a few new friends. There’s a connection she has with them, one that she can’t exactly explain. Along with the new friends she is reunited with an old one, Alex. He’s one of the unclaimed. Just when things seem to be at their best, everything once again crumbles down around Harper. Lies are uncovered and some truths are revealed. There’s a bigger picture to Harper’s connection with her newest friends. They aren’t what they seem. In fact they aren’t even human. They’re vampires, part of a vampire clan to be precise and they hunt down other vampires who break the laws of their kind. Harper soon falls for one of the clan members but it all comes unraveled with the sudden appearance of an old flame. Clara has held the clans hearts for centuries. Will Clara’s past with the clan destroy everything Harper has or will another threat take her life away? Can love prevail or will it only destroy her more? Harper may run but she won’t be able to hide forever.

Running from Linbridge is the last thing Harper ever expected to be doing, but she really has no other choice. There was no way she could stay, especially after killing Clara and attacking Ivan and James.
At least she doesn’t have to run alone. Drake stays by her side through it all, just like he had promised to.
Even though they intended to run far from Linbridge they end up staying in the neighboring town where they find a friendly hotel owner who gives them a much needed break.
Just when Harper has a chance to catch a breath the clan finds her. James finds her and he’s not about to leave without her. Surprisingly he doesn’t hold what Harper had done against her. He only wants her to be safe and right now she’s not exactly safe, not with the vampire that Erik and Ivan are after running loose.
After some convincing Harper gives in and allows James back into her life. After all he hadn’t hurt her nearly as bad as Ivan and Erik had. James had remained in the background, until now. Now he was the only connection to the clan that Harper had. If she ever expected to get them back she needed to form a strong relationship with James.
With time and a push from James, Harper gives in and returns to Linbridge. Of course the fact that Ivan and Erik have been oddly silent pushes Harper to make her decision quicker.
Once James and Harper return to Linbridge they become increasingly worried, and for good reason. Ivan and Erik have changed, and not in a good way. They’ve allowed their vampire sides to take over fully causing them to be vicious and cruel.
Bringing them back lands on Harper’s shoulders.
She’s the only one who can reach their softer sides.
Just when things seem to be coming back together everything spins further out of control, especially after she meets the newest resident of Linbridge. Silas, he’s human but there’s something that’s drawing Harper towards him. His blood is calling to her even though she can’t drink it.
There’s only one choice to make and that choice only causes more problems. Marcus attacks and takes Silas away once he learns about Harper’s connection with him. Marcus then uses that bond to torture Harper along with Erik, Ivan, and James. He aims to destroy everything they have unless they give into his demands.
The clan isn’t going to allow that to happen, not without a fight.
Marcus has to be destroyed.
Unfortunately once they finally get the upper hand on Marcus the hope of getting Silas back disappears.
Harper’s left with more choices to make, ones that could cause the end of her or the end of the clan. For now all that Harper can do is keep Silas from completely losing hope.
They will find him; they just need more time and a little luck on their side.
