Throwback Thursday!!

I'm getting back on track so it's time for another throwback. This week I want to shine a little light on my Eden One Series. It's a completed series of four books. It's also a science fiction tale with lots of twists and turns. This series is one of my absolute favorites. I look forward to rereading it every year. I hope you'll give it a chance. I'm sure you'll love it as much as others have.

Links to purchase this series are below each book.

Book One

What do we do when the world as we know it ends? What will we do to survive? Only we can decide the answers to those questions.
Now, fast forward 237 years into the future.
Earth is no longer livable, and only seven space stations hold the keys to our future.
Each station has its own special reasons, and each has a certain group that will be able to travel to any new planets they find and begin life anew.
The stations consist of the farmers, the engineers, the scientists, the breeders, the doctors, the military, and the alphas, or also known as the future leaders.
Mackenzie was lucky enough to be born on the military station and is quickly following in her father’s footsteps to becoming a leader of her very own squad, a squad that would someday be sent down to a whole new world.
They were the future.
As their future soon becomes reality Mackenzie and her team are tested to their limits. She has to fight her emotions and do what's best for everyone, but will it be enough?
Will it keep them all alive when they finally reach the ground? And when a red devil threatens what’s between Cash and her, will Kenzie lose him?
On this lost planet, anything can happen.
Things aren't always what they seem.
One second Mac finds herself with friends and the next she’s being chased down by enemies.
Will she be able to survive, or will she have to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to ensure her team’s future?

Fox’s whole life has been turned upside down, and all because of one tiny human girl and her team. He finds himself willing to do anything for her, even if it’s the last thing he wants to do.
When one of her teammates needs help, Fox has no choice but to leave her behind, but saving Grey ends up being more than either Fox or Riker bargained for.
Fox quickly finds himself under attack by his own people.
It ends up being him and Cash against them all.
Barely surviving they somehow manage to escape, but now they have an even bigger issue to deal with. Mackenzie has been taken. But the question is who took her and why.
They get their answer when they return to the spot where Fox had left her last.
The Gealtach, the most feared beings on the planet, were after her. But she wasn't being chased by just any Gealtach. She was being tracked by hunters.
Now, both Cash and Fox have hard decisions to make, but will they make the correct ones?
Will they be able to save the girl that they both love? Or will they choose the wrong path and lose her forever.

Book Two

Still in Aden’s grasp, Kenzie begs for an end to his torture. Every part of her hurts, including her heart.

She gives up and gives into wanting everything to just end. All she wants is to escape the nightmare.
Day after day, hour after slow hour Aden continues to ask the same question. Where is he? But Kenzie doesn’t even know who Aden is referring to.
When her question is finally answered, she knows that she must keep his secret.
Death whispers her name, but Aden won’t allow it and neither will an unexpected Gealtach friend, Dax.
What happens will change Mac’s future forever. But will Fox still want her this way?
Being something not quite human is a major change for Kenzie. Then again, being a mix of three different beings has its own complications, especially since no one has ever been mixed up like this before.
With a bond between both Dax and Fox, Kenzie has to choose.
Before she has a chance to escape it all, Aden yet again interrupts her life. He takes everyone away from her.
When everything in her life shatters into pieces, one unlikely being comes to help.
Storm, Fox’s brother, quickly allies with Kenzie even though she has fears of his powers. And for good reason; he’s dangerous, very dangerous.
Both Storm and Kenzie begin planning on how to get his brother and her team back. Before they get a chance to put their plan into action, they are forced to flee.
Instead of just going somewhere safe on Eden One, Mac transports them to the space station.
Everything changes from there, but those changes won’t come without a cost.
There will be blood.
There will be death.
And Kenzie’s world will take yet another turn.

After finally getting free from the cell on the human’s space station, Storm finds out that Kenzie wasn't the one who had rescued him.
It was Dax that had saved him.
Kenzie, on the other hand, had other things going on.
She had gone mad.
Without hesitating Storm throws himself into a new mission along with Dax.
He needed to find her and bring her back, but first, he had to bring back his dead brother, Fox. With his help, they could fix Dax and Kenzie’s broken bond.
In order to bring Fox back from death’s door Storm first needs to find his long-lost brothers, Leaf, the leader of the wolvetts, and their other brother Ronan.
Of course finding them would be the easy part. Talking them into helping him bring back a brother that hadn’t been so nice, that was going to be the hardest part.
Will it be enough though? Together can they save Kenzie?

Book Three

Waking up in a burned out room once was strange enough for Kenzie, but to wake up in the same place over and over again was too much.
At first, everything appeared normal, or at least as normal got for Kenzie.
When it quickly turns into a nightmare, Kenzie finds herself thrown into making a major decision. Who will she choose? Will she go for this new Duine, Leaf?
Her maddening dream ends up taking away that decision for her. She decides on Leaf; he was supposed to be her true mate after all.
Her heart was still breaking for Dax though, and the pull between them just wouldn't fade away.
When that pull becomes too much, Kenzie gives into it and explores it more with Dax while Leaf is away gathering fighters to fight in their upcoming battle.
But when Leaf returns and finds them in a compromising position he does something drastic. Ronan thankfully sees through Leaf’s lies. He saves Kenzie.
As all of Leaf’s lies come unraveled, their group finds themselves under attack by the enemy. Leaf had never gotten the reinforcements. He had brought Aden’s army down on their heads.
When everything seems so hopeless Shade comes through and brings along the much-needed army that Kenzie needs to succeed in the war that had begun.
The new plan now wasn't to fight on the ground.
No, she wants to take over the sky above.
Using her powers and Dax’s combined they transport their entire army onto Kenzie’s old home, the military station.
Getting to the station is the easy part. The hard part is the fight they have ahead of them. It's made even worse when they lose the element of surprise.
The Humans gain the upper hand on the Gealtach.
The war was quickly being lost even though everyone around her was telling her otherwise. They were losing even though they couldn’t afford to lose. Kenzie wouldn’t allow that to happen.

Dax could kick his own ass for letting Kenzie walk into danger like he had. It was stupid to let her make such a terrible decision, but it was for a good cause.
Meanwhile, he’s left with a battle that he had to win. It was a battle he had to win in order to get her back.
The hardest fight wasn't the one against the humans. It was the one raging inside of him to free Kenzie. His heart wanted to rescue her from the horrible things he had been forced to witness through her eyes.
There just wasn't a way to do that without compromising the mission he had on the space station. There were too many of his Gealtach brothers counting on him to lead.
With his emotions held at bay, things become clear. They would win this war with the humans on the space station, but not without a high cost.
Many would die in the name of freedom.

Book Four

Stuck in Aden's house of horrors Kenzie is losing all hope.
She hasn’t felt anything from Dax, and she hasn’t been able to reach him in any way through their connection. It’s like he had built up a brick wall.
Despair takes over.
Fear of dying in that horrid place fills her mind. Then again, maybe death wouldn’t be so bad. It couldn’t be any worse than losing Dax altogether.
Just when Kenzie doesn’t think she can handle any more trauma, Aden waltzes in with terrifying news.
Dax is dead.
It’s her worst fear confirmed. But how; how could he be dead while she’s still alive. It all becomes clear once the lies are revealed, and the real truths come out.
Dax isn’t dead, far from it actually. He’s on a mission to save his mate. He was coming for her and the others.
Finally, there is hope.
But how would Dax respond to knowing that Kenzie was pregnant? And last but not least, would she have to choose between Dax and Fox again. Who would she pick, the father of her baby or the mate that had stolen her heart?

The battle had already begun, but with the minor mishap of having all of his warriors spread apart, Dax had no choice but to retreat and regroup.
Now that they are back together as one he has to return. Aden must die, and the compound must be destroyed.
Kenzie has her own battles going on when Dax leaves to finish what he had started. The baby was pushing primal urges.
They were also affecting Dax while he was in the middle of his battles, which makes for a dangerous combination.
The urges and emotions that Dax feels from Kenzie only drive his hatred for her child higher. He doesn’t like the fact that it isn’t his, but he wouldn’t dare tell her that.
Kenzie knows how Dax feels though, their connection doesn’t allow for secrets to be kept.
Only time will tell if Dax will come around.
Then again, this could be the one thing that will split them up and force them to go their separate ways.
The future is yet to be written.

They had won the war with Aden, and things seemed to finally be going their way.
Dax was still a little distant, but it was something that Kenzie thought they could overcome.
It isn’t until Dax tells her to leave that it hits Kenzie. Maybe things couldn’t work between them.
The baby growing inside her wasn’t something that Dax could easily get over. Leaving Dax was the only thing she could do, but it would break her heart in the process.
The only problem she has is where she should go, and who would keep her safe?
There was one person still out there who cared for her, loved her, and who could be a father figure for her unborn child.
And that’s where she was going to go.
Before she can get anywhere the baby decides now is the time to be born, and once again Kenzie’s life is thrown off course.
It does bring Dax back but having this new powerful child brings other dangers.
Only time will tell if they will be able to escape.
And only love can conquer all.

Tuesday Teaser

Tuesday Teaser!!

Today's teaser comes from the story that I am currently working on, Blood Moon, Book two in the Love and Blood Series. Since I am working on this through #NaNoWriMo the story is getting done quickly. I haven't had a chance to really do any editing so please bear with me. On another note you also get to see the new cover. So, you get a teaser and a cover reveal all wrapped into one.

Anyway, here it is the second part the the story that many of you have loved.

Enjoy!!

****

“You need to sleep, Dominick.” I laugh as he nuzzles his face against the back of my neck. “It’s going to be night soon and you’ll be tired when you have to leave.”
“I’ll be fine.” He insists.
I sigh softly while reaching my hand up to stroke my fingers through Nix’s hair beside me.
He was sound asleep along with Kane.
“I’m kind of jealous of the connection that you have with him.” Dominick states softly as he pushes himself up to look over my shoulder.
“There’s no reason to be jealous.” I insist. “Our connection goes so much deeper.”
“Yes, it does but it doesn’t compare to what you have with him.” Dominick argues lightly.
“Either way I still love you both equally.” I reply as I turn to look up at Dominick. “I love you, I love Kane, and I love Nix. Each of you has a part of my heart.”
“You should tell them that. Nix needs to hear you say those words to him.” Dom stresses.
“I will when the time is right.” I reply with a soft sigh.
A moment of silence passes by as Dominick tenderly touches my cheek.
He sighs. “I don’t want to leave you.”
“I don’t want you to go either.” I reply.
“We won’t be gone long.” He promises. “The last war that I fought with the humans didn’t last long. The humans always severely underestimate what we’re capable of.”
“All it takes is a good show of force and they’ll retreat.” He adds confidently.
“After what my father did to me do you really believe that it will still be that easy?” I question.
“I don’t know, but at least we know what we’re up against.” He replies.
He had a point. They weren’t going into this fight blindly but there was no telling what other secrets that my father had that could be used against a supernatural army.
I couldn’t help but fear that I would lose one of them in this battle.
“You’re not going to lose anyone.” Dominick replies before glancing at Kane and Nix. “I will do whatever it takes to keep them safe for you.”
“Make sure you keep Nick safe for Tinsley too.” I reply.
He nods. “I was already planning to do that.”
Without warning Nix turns on his side before reaching out for me. He pulls me away from Dominick and snuggly against his body.
I laugh lightly as he begins purring.
Dominick shakes his head in amusement. “What are we going to do with both a dog and cat?”
I shrug while grinning. “I don’t know but we’ve already given them a home. They’re ours now no matter what happens.”
He snorts. “You are prefect.”
After a moment I pat the bed beside me. “Sleep, Dom.”
He nods and then lies down before closing his eyes. I watch him as his chest stops rising and falling as he quickly falls into a deep sleep.
Moments later I close my eyes before the darkness of sleep pulls me into its depths.

Tuesday Teaser for Brave!!

Tuesday Teaser!!

Today's teaser is from Brave, Book 4 in The Onyx Wolves Series. This bit is after Parker meets Jake's brothers Kane, Max, Flynn, Dane, Larik, and Gavin, who are also shape-shifting bears. Parker already met Kane briefly in Book 3 but Kane has more of a presence in this book. I'm nearly finished writing this book so watch closely for more teasers and a release date. Enjoy!!

****

We need to go, now.” Kane stresses as he runs into my room with me and Jake.
I shove the remaining clothes into my bag before turning towards Kane as Jake grabs my other bag from the bed.
“We’re ready.” I reply.
“Good, the rest of your pack are in the truck with my brothers.” Kane replies.
“Lucas…?” I whisper.
“He’s with your silver wolf. He hasn’t let go of him.” Kane replies.
I nod and then glance around at my room before moving forward. Together Kane, Jake, and I run downstairs before we exit the house.
I run towards the garage and grab the keys to my bike and then to my jeep.
“You can take the jeep, Kane.” I state while tossing him the keys. “Jake and I will take my bike.”
Without saying a word Kane grabs my bags from me and Jake before jumping into the jeep while Jake climbs onto my bike. I slip on behind him and then hand him the keys.
The engine roars to life before Jake backs us out of the garage.
Kane stops the jeep near his truck where the others were. Dane, Gavin, and Larik jump out of the truck before getting into the jeep.
Seconds later we take off down the driveway.
The gate opens at an agonizingly slow pace but once it’s open we ride through.
My heart beats wildly in my chest as I tighten my grasp around Jake’s waist as he speeds down the roads, following the jeep and truck.
We don’t make it far before two bikes join us.
They had hunters in full gear riding them.
“Jake…” I stress nervously as they gain ground on us.
“Do you trust me?” Jake asks.
“Yes.” I reply quickly.
He grunts and then revs the bike to go faster. He pulls next to the truck and then glances over to Flynn and Max in the back of the truck.
“I want you to jump, Parker.” Jake states loudly.
Without hesitating I move on the back of the bike. I stand up and then wait for Flynn to hold his hands out towards me.
“Now, Parker…” Jake commands as he moves closer to the truck.
I leap and grab for Flynn.
He manages to grab me before pulling me into the back of the truck. He holds onto me tightly as Jake slows down. Once he’s next to the jeep he moves to stand up on the bike.
Dane reaches out for him and Jake leaps towards the jeep.
My heart nearly skips a beat as he grabs hold of the jeep’s side. He slips and nearly falls but Dane manages to pull him inside.
The bike wobbles for a brief moment before rolling. The hunters behind it don’t get the chance to swerve out of the way as my bike comes their way.
In seconds they hit the road causing pieces of twisted metal and shattered plastic to skid across the road along with the four bodies of the hunters.
“Damn…” Flynn whispers as I bury my face against his chest.
Even though they had been hell-bent on killing us I still didn’t like the thought of taking a life.
There was no way they could have survived a wreck like that and if they had then they were in one hell of a world of hurt.
After a few moments Flynn pushes me to sit down between him and Max.
“You’ve got guts, Wolf.” Flynn states. “I’ll give you that.”
I remain quiet as I watch Jake now sitting in the passenger seat of the jeep behind us.
He gives me a reassuring smile while Flynn wraps his arm around my shoulders.
“Jake is tougher than you think, Sweetheart. That little jump was nothing for him.” Flynn states before snorting. “I imagine that you taking that leap scared him more than anything.”
“His jump scared me.” I reply.
“You really care about him, don’t you?” Flynn replies.
“I do.” I answer honestly.
Even though everything between me and Jake wasn’t real we had become close. I cared about him and the way that he was looking at me now said that he cared about me too.

Just when everything seems to be falling apart, it suddenly comes back together leaving James and the clan in a state of shock. One second Ivan was gone and the next he’s living and breathing as if nothing had ever happened. It’s a joyous moment but one that doesn’t feel real.
Once the shock wears off James is left with some unresolved feelings that had been bothering him even before Ivan’s death. They need to be dealt with, but first, he has a detour to take.
That detour takes him to Jack’s hotel along with Drake.
Staying at Jack’s are a small group of hunters; hunters who have ties to the ones who had nearly destroyed the clan. To defeat the threat that they pose James is more than ready to kill. He’s prepared to do whatever it takes to ensure Harper’s safety, but he’s also determined to handle the situation without Erik.
Of course, when Erik finds out about James's secret, he rushes in to take over. His presence alone annoys James. He’s had enough of taking orders and lately Erik has been more overbearing than usual.
They clash, and Erik does something drastic to put James back into his place. It’s a move that ends up nearly costing James his life when they attack the hunters.
After the hunters are destroyed James and Erik are left figuring out how to repair their relationship. They find their way but not before their lives become even more complicated.
Will this new complication destroy their clan entirely or will it bring them closer? Only time will tell.

“James, you can come with me and, Drake, you can go with Jack,” Erik announces.
Drake grunts in agreement while Jack nods his head.
I, on the other hand, sigh while scrubbing my hand over my face. I hated that Erik was going to be right next to me the entire time. He would more than likely keep me from ever having the chance to take down one of the hunters.
“Do you have a problem, James?” Erik questions me.
“As a matter of fact, I do.” I blurt before I can stop myself.
“Jack, do you mind if we have a moment alone?” Erik sighs as he turns his attention towards Jack and Drake.
Jack nods and then pats Drake’s arm. “Come on; I’ll show you which room we’ll be going in.”
Without another word Jack and Drake exit the office.
Once they’re gone, Erik releases a low growl. “I’m getting really sick of this, James. We’ve never had issues like this before, so what’s changed?”
“Like I said before, you’ve changed.” I snap.
Before he can say a word, I continue. “You’ve become a controlling asshole, Erik. Everything we do, every move we make, has to be approved by you. It was never that way before.”
“That’s because we didn’t have Harper,” Erik replies. “Did you not see what she went through when we lost Ivan? I’d rather avoid that at any cost. If I’m being controlling it’s because I don’t want anyone going off on a suicide mission like you’re doing right now.”
He takes a moment before speaking again. “You lied straight to my face, James. That’s something that you’ve never done before.”
“I didn’t have much of a choice. You would never have let me leave.” I reply.
“Damn right I wouldn’t have.” Erik breathes out.
Silence fills the room as Erik turns his back towards me while brushing his hand through his hair.
For a moment, images of attacking Erik run through my mind.
Without warning my anger builds while my fangs cut into my bottom lip. The vampire within me was more than willing to test Erik and his position as leader of our clan. It was an odd feeling but a powerful one that I honestly didn’t want to go away.
I take a step forward just before Erik turns back around to face me.
In an instant, his eyes turn red. “You don’t want to do this, James.”
“Yes, I do.” I bite out.
“James, if you attack me then Harper will never forgive you,” Erik warns.
“I can deal with that after I’m the leader. At least then I’ll be able to have her whenever I choose, and the rest of you will have to wait for your turns.” I reply.
There was a part of me screaming to stop, but I couldn’t seem to.
My vampire side was very much in control, and there was no reining it in now. It was too late for that especially after what I had just said.
Without warning, Erik rushes forward. He slams into me while wrapping his hand around my throat. As we fall to the floor, he squeezes his hand just enough to cut off my air.
My head hits the unforgiving concrete floor with a crack.
The world around me spins as sparks flicker in my eyes.
All fight leaves my body instantly.
“I didn’t want to do this, James. You forced my hand.” Erik bites out as he glares down at me with unbridled anger.
“You cracked my skull.” I choke out.
“And now you’ve learned that I will never take a threat lightly. I don’t care how long you’ve been a part of my clan; I won’t hold back when you threaten what’s mine.” Erik growls before he loosens his grasp.
“There it is; the truth. You don’t want the rest of us to have Harper.” I whisper while closing my eyes.
Erik stands and then walks away without saying another word.
I remain on the floor while my head aches from the trauma it had endured.
“James…?” Drake breathes out as he walks into the room suddenly. “What happened?”
“I challenged Erik and lost, that’s what happened,” I answer honestly.

Throwback Thursday!!

I'm planning on doing this throw back thing with my books. I have quite a bit of books under my belt and some of them get looked over since they're older so I want to shine a light on them.

The first book I want to shine a light on this week is dear to my heart. I absolutely love this story. I go back and read it often. It's a bit on the sad side but it has a wonderfully happy ending. It's about losing someone and learning how to survive the heartbreak and depression that follow. It's about family and finding love. When I first started writing this book screamed to be written and I honestly believe that there is a large part of me in this story.

Anyway, if you haven't given a read I hope you'll take a moment to check it out.

If you're on Booksprout it's on there if you'd like to read it for free in exchange for a review. (There are only 7 copies to request left.) Just click on this link to check it out there. https://booksprout.co/arc/3710/losing-levi

Excerpt:
“When you have those moments, just think of me, call or text me when you feel weak. I will always be there for you. Nothing about this will be easy; life is hard. We just feel it more than most because our souls have been broken and are raw.” – Logan.

Ava has everything that she could ever want; great supportive parents, an amazing boyfriend, and a job that’s actually not so bad. She lives in a small town where even though the world around them has been plunged into chaos it’s remained relatively untouched.
Why the chaos, well because vampires and werewolves, along with every other supernatural creature, have come out of hiding. Most just want to live normal lives with humans, but others don’t.
Those creatures that don’t want a peaceful existence are what Ava and the rest of the human population fear. They’ve caused more than their fair share of nightly mayhem.
Luckily, the small town where Ava lives hasn’t had any issues, but that’s only because they run those creatures out of town before they ever have a chance to become a problem.
Of course, that doesn’t entirely keep them from running into danger, but they can certainly try.
Even with precautions accidents happen and cars break down, which is something Ava learns real quickly when her car breaks down in the middle of the night on the side of a secluded road.
In an instant, Ava’s life is flipped upside down.
All it takes is one vampire bite and a mouthful of blood to seal Ava’s fate. She only has two options. Either she dies, or she transforms.
When things don’t exactly go as planned, Ava finds herself all alone. Her parents believe she’s a monster and her boyfriend Jake, well the last look that Jake gave her wasn’t one of love but of disgust.
Ava thankfully finds an unlikely friend, a werewolf. He takes her to a town that’s a safe haven for vampires and shapeshifters of all kinds.
That’s where she meets Loki, a vampire who instantly connects with her. He takes it upon himself to teach her how to live like a vampire and how to control her urges. Of course being a vampire comes with some new and unexpected lifestyle changes.
One thing that she has to get used to is the fact that vampires aren’t monogamous. They create harems to satisfy their needs. Even though she’s hesitant to jump into a new relationship she quickly finds herself in more than just one.
Ava finds real love but it also comes in a few different forms.
Her heart may get broken in the process of finding her way, but she’ll survive. She’ll survive thanks to those around her and the love that they share.

Tuesday Teaser!!

Today's teaser will be from my upcoming new release for Midnight Moon, Book One in the Love and Blood Series. It's a reverse harem story that I hope you'll all enjoy as much as you've enjoyed The Vampires of Linbridge Series. This new book will be released this Friday, May 25th, 2018.
Only three more days to wait! Enjoy!

****

My eyes lock with his while he lifts the second bag to his lips. I watch him as his eyes turn red while his fangs descend and then pierce the plastic.
Seconds later my fangs cut into my bottom lip as I try and fail to stay in control of my overwhelming emotions.
The sight had my hormones on overdrive.
I needed him in the worst way.
Loki raises his brow while pulling the bag away from his lips. A small bit of blood trickles from the side of his mouth, and I completely lose all control.
I rush forward and press my lips against his.
At first, he stands frozen in place before he wraps his arms around me while taking the kiss deeper. He groans as I nip his bottom lip with my fangs just enough to draw blood.
Closing my eyes, I taste him. I allow his blood to flow over my tongue.
The moment comes to a halt when Loki pushes me back. “We can’t do this. You’re not ready, and I’m not about to take advantage of you.”
Instead of allowing him to push me away I step forward. “Shut up and kiss me, Loki.”
He snorts while shaking his head. “You’re not making this easy for me.”
“I need this,” I argue as I move even closer to him.
“Are you sure?” He questions while placing his hands on either side of my face.
“Yes.” I answer easily.
Before he can say another word, I push my lips against his again. This time he doesn’t hesitate to match my intensity.
Within a few minutes, Loki lifts me into his arms without breaking our kiss before he carries me over to the bed. He gently lays me down while hovering over my body.
“Are you absolutely sure that I’m who you want?” He pushes while searching my eyes.
“Yes, Loki, you are exactly what I want and need,” I reply breathlessly.
“If we do this I’m not going to let you go.” He warns. “I’m not going to just be a one night stand or a way for you to escape your emotions.”
“I know.” I breathe out.
“I’ll be yours if that’s what you want.” He insists.
I smile and place my hands on his face. “Just kiss me.”
He snorts and then becomes serious before leaning down to kiss me sweetly. “In all my years I have never met someone quite like you.”

Finding Silas wasn’t easy, but it doesn’t compare to what happens next. Everything seems to be stacking up against the clan. Time is running out and with every second that ticks by the risk to Harper’s life becomes greater.
As if things couldn’t get worse, once the clan returns to Linbridge they quickly find themselves in danger once again. Instead of vindictive vampires to worry about, they have to fear Hunters.
They’ve come for Ivan. His mistakes are quickly catching up to him.
Of course, they’re not going to make it easy for the Hunters to take Ivan away. Hiding in plain sight is their only option.
While everything spins out of control around them, Harper works her hardest to mend their relationships. Each of them has their own fair share of problems. Silas isn’t the same thanks to the trauma that he’s endured, Ivan is depressed, and Erik has the weight of Linbridge’s future on his shoulders.
And Harper…Harper is finding it hard to face her new reality.
James is the only one who has the least amount of issues.
Before they can move forward, they must heal their inner wounds. It’s not easy. Things don’t go their way, and when Harper becomes sick it becomes even more difficult.
Their strength will be put to the test and their relationships will grow but will it be enough? Will it keep them from heartbreak? Will Harper be able to survive the loss of someone close?
Even James’s visions can’t predict what will happen. Nothing is written in stone, and their choices have significant consequences.
Those choices threaten to destroy everything.
Love and a little luck are the only things that will keep them together.

Tuesday Teaser!!

Tuesday Teaser

Since release day is only four days away I figured that I'd give everyone a teaser. I can't wait for you guys to read Eternal. Enjoy!!

****

“Okay, so now that you’ve heard everything what do you think that Harper should do? Should she stay with me outside of Linbridge until the threat is gone or should we stay together, here?” Erik questions.
“I don’t think that she should go anywhere,” Drake states first.
He was as much a part of this clan as anyone in this room, and I was grateful that the others had accepted him without hesitation.
“I agree with Drake and Harper. Every time we split up something terrible happens.” Ivan replies. “I’m not willing to take the risk that the hunters won’t follow you two out of town.”
“Ivan has a point.” James states. “We have no idea who we can trust. They might be waiting for someone to leave Linbridge and without all of us it puts both you and Harper into a dangerous position.”
Erik nods and then turns his attention towards Silas. “What do you think?”
“Honestly, I’m on your side, Erik. I don’t like the thought of Harper leaving, but it’s obviously not safe to stay here anymore.” Silas replies. “You heard what those men said tonight; they were under the impression that we were vampires. They got their orders from someone, somewhere, and I do not doubt that they will send more men.”
“That’s true, but she was safer here with all of us protecting her.” Ivan insists.
“James…?” Erik sighs as he turns towards him for his response.
He doesn’t say a word for a few minutes before he finally opens his mouth to speak. Before he says a word, he closes his mouth before standing up abruptly.
Without warning he exits the room, leaving the rest of us in a state of confusion.
“Is he coming back?” I whisper as I look at Erik in question.
“I don’t know.” He breathes out.
A few moments later James walks back into the room with a large knife held in his hand. He walks directly behind Silas before he stabs the knife into Silas’s shoulder.
I scream out in pain as blood stains my shirt.
“What the hell, James?” Silas growls out.
“Have we all forgotten that there’s more than one way to get to Harper?” James questions as he removes the knife from Silas’s shoulder.
“If we split up we run the risk of her getting hurt either way. You’ve said it yourself, Erik, we are stronger together.” James states before turning his full attention towards me as he smirks. “I want her to stay. She wants to stay, and I’m not about to push her away.”
Erik nods and then rubs his hand over his face while he glances down at his feet.
A moment later he looks at me. “I guess you get your way this time, Sweetheart. Ivan, Drake, and James are right; we will be better off together.”
“So, I’m staying?” I press.
He nods. “Yes, and I won’t bring this subject up again.”

Becoming the rebel leader wasn’t what Nova expected to do, but fate had placed her in that very position. After being deceived by Edric, it only seemed natural to choose the side that stood against the Nokalt.
Of course being the leader isn’t easy, but with Ash by her side, Nova feels as if they can do anything. And with a rebel army behind them, the possibilities are limitless.
As the days go by Nova’s relationship with Ash grows stronger, but that doesn’t keep her from wanting someone else. She wants Wade. Something is pulling her to him, something that she can’t understand.
When the Nokalt attack without warning, everything spins out of control. Rebels die, and Wade is left knocking at death's door.
The rebels want revenge.
Nova has a choice to make. She needs to prove that she’s a strong rebel leader like her brother. She makes some difficult decisions. In the end, Nova gives the rebels precisely what they want.
They attack the Nokalt where they least expect it, and they hit them hard. No one dies, but the rebels manage to capture more than enough Nokalt prisoners to bargain with. With those prisoners, Nova hopes to get the rebels that the Nokalt had taken and her brother back.
Unfortunately, the rebels have other ideas. They want more than equal rights. They want the Nokalt destroyed.
Nova quickly finds herself in a new world of trouble that she has no control over.
Edric is the only one who can save her, but he’s got a few problems of his own. The only option he has left is to bring Ethan back to Nova.
That plan backfires. The rebels don’t trust Ethan, and they definitely don’t trust Nova or Ash anymore.
Nova and Ethan have only one option left. They had to escape. They have to leave the rebels behind or risk dying for a cause that they no longer believe in.
Getting out alive brings a whole new set of problems. Not everything is as it seems and the people closest to Nova end up being the ones who betray her the worst. Everything that happens pushes Nova farther away from the people she loves.
Edric is Nova’s only hope but will he still want to save her? Will she still want him? Will their connection bring them back together or will they lose each other forever?
Only fate knows what will happen next.

“Go, Ivan. Drive.” Erik pants out as he shuts his door.
Ivan quickly drives the car down the driveway while more bombs go off behind us.
“Holy shit, Marcus had the whole place rigged to blow.” Ivan exclaims as he glances back in the rearview mirror.
I remain seated with my attention out the front windshield. As much as I wanted to see Silas I also didn’t want to see him in his deteriorated condition.
“He’s alright, Harper.” James reassures me. “He’s just weakened.”
I nod and bite my lip while closing my eyes to keep myself from falling apart.
The smell of rotten flesh was heavy in the air along with dirt and something else much worse. It was horrifying to be honest.
When the smell of blood hits me I nearly lose my control.
My stomach groans as I dig my nails into the seat beneath me.
“Just take a little, Silas.” James instructs.
“That’s not going to be possible.” I grit out.
“Why not, he seems to be in control.” Erik replies.
“It’s not because I can feel his hunger. He might seem to be in control but he’s not. The vampire is in control.” I warn.
James curses loudly. “Damn it, she’s right. He’s not stopping.”
Erik curses next as they begin moving around in the backseat.
Ivan glances towards me with worry as he pulls onto the main road.
Of course that’s the moment when everything gets worse. While Erik and James struggle to control Silas red and blue lights begin flashing behind us while a siren rings out.
“This cannot be happening.” Ivan groans.
“What are we going to do? We can’t stop, not yet.” I stress.
“Erik, what are we doing?” Ivan questions tensely.
“Stop the car. The last thing we want is a high speed chase.” Erik replies.
Ivan grunts in response before pulling the car to the side of the road. He then quickly pulls out his wallet while I grab the papers he would need from the compartment in front of me.
James and Erik somehow get Silas to calm down while the police officer walks up to Ivan’s window.
“What’s the problem officer?” Ivan asks while rolling down his window.
“I was just curious if you knew what was going on at the Smith farm. You came from the driveway and we had calls of smoke and loud booms coming from that area.” The officer replies.
“The smoke was coming from the house. I don’t know what happened but when we were driving past we saw the smoke and decided to see if we could help.” Ivan lies easily. “There wasn’t much left of the house so we figured that we would drive back down the road to see if we could find some sort of help.”
I grab my phone and hold it up. “My phone wouldn’t get a signal otherwise we would have called.”
He nods and then glances towards his car before leaning down to look into the backseat.
“Is he alright?” The officer questions as he points towards Silas’s body that was slumped over James in the seat.
“Yeah, he’s fine, just a little drunk.” Ivan answers.
The officer nods before pointing towards me. “Are you alright? You have a little bit of blood on your arm.”
Before I can answer he studies Ivan closer.
Without warning he pulls his gun from its holster on his belt before he points it at us.
“Get out of the car with your hands up.” He orders sternly.
“Erik…?” Ivan breathes out.
“Just do it.” Erik replies.
Ivan nods and then lifts his hands before exiting the car. I quickly slide across the seat with my hands up. Once I’m out I stand beside Ivan as the officer trains his gun directly on us.

Tuesday Teaser!!

Tuesday Teaser

Today's teaser comes from Eternal the third book in The Vampires of Linbridge Series. I've been typing away like crazy to get it written. I can't wait to share this next book with you guys.
It's going to be so exciting.
Anyway, here it is, your teaser.
It's a little short but it's going to leave you wanting more. Enjoy!!

****

“Do you guys hear that?” James questions while tilting his head to the side. “It sounds like a faint beeping sound.”
‘Guys, there’s a red light flashing in here.’ Silas warns within our minds.
“Damn it.” James curses. “Marcus must have set the locks with a bomb.”
“We have to get him out of there before it blows.” Ivan stresses.
I whimper as I turn in his arms. “This can’t be happening.”
‘There’s a timer.’ Silas announces. ‘I have less than five minutes. You guys better hurry.’
“We’ll get him out, Harper.” Erik promises. “But it might be best if you and Ivan went back by the car just in case this doesn’t go our way.”
“I’m not leaving you.” I argue.
“Maybe if we all work together we can get Silas out before the timer runs out.” Ivan suggests.
Erik and James share a look before nodding in agreement.
“Fine, but the second I tell you to leave you better listen.” Erik explains.
I nod. “I’ll run the second that you tell me to.”
“You better.” He replies.
With his permission Ivan and I jump into the hole and then grab the keys that James holds out for us. We each quickly take a lock and begin the task of unlocking each.
I get lucky and find the right key for the first lock.
Smiling triumphantly I move onto the next while Ivan, Erik, and James work quickly to unlock the others.
“What are we going to do once he’s out?” James questions as he continues to work on one of the locks.
Erik shrugs. “I honestly don’t know.”
“We’re going to have to keep him from killing someone.” Ivan stresses.
“If I’m full then he’ll feel full.” I insist.
“That might not work. We can only guess that the animalistic side of Silas will be present. He’s been starved so the vampire side will have more control. It will also make him dangerous towards us and unpredictable.” Erik replies.
“Oh…” I breathe out.
“We won’t allow anything bad to happen to him.” Ivan promises gently.
I nod and bite my lip as I try another lock.
‘The timer is down to two minutes.’ Silas announces within our minds.
I whimper softly as I try key after key inside the lock in my hand. When none of my keys works tears fill my eyes.
This felt hopeless. We were struggling against time that we really didn’t have.
Giving up on that lock I try another.
Once again none of my keys work. My anger gets the best of me and I slam the lock against the chains as hard as I can.
To my surprise the lock splits in two, freeing a set of chains.
‘Uh, the clock just lost ten seconds.’ Silas warns.
Erik, Ivan, and James curse while I begin to cry.
“Damn it.” Erik breathes out before sharing a look with James.
They have a silent conversation before James releases a heavy breath while shaking his head.
“Luck would have to be on our side.” He states out loud.
“Just count the remaining locks.” Erik demands.
“What are you going to do?” I ask.
“We’re going to see how many locks there are and how much time we would lose by breaking them. If there’s more time on the clock than what we’ll lose then we’ll take the risk. If not…” Erik trails off.
He didn’t have to say the rest. It was easy to fill in what would happen if we ran out of time.
Silas and I would die.

Once James is finished counting the locks he and Erik share another long look before Erik sighs roughly while glancing in my direction.
“What’s wrong?” I press.
He shakes his head. “It’s nothing that you need to worry about, Harper.”
I’m about to argue but Ivan steps in front of me. He places his hands on either side of my face while gazing sadly into my eyes.
“Come on, Harper. We need to go to the car while Erik and James finish this.” He pushes.
I nod and then bite my lip as he picks me up to help me out of the hole. Once he’s out he grabs my hand to pull me away.
A whimper leaves my lips as I continue to watch the hole until it’s nearly impossible to see.
‘Silas…’ I whisper into his mind while closing my eyes.
‘Don’t worry, we’ll be together again really soon.’ He promises.
As we reach the car the sound of metal being broken fills the air. I listen closely as the chains fall away from Silas’s box.
Ivan nervously bites his lip while I wrap my arms around his waist.
Time ticks by at a snail’s pace as we wait.
“They’ll have enough time.” Ivan insists.
I wasn't so confident.
