Teaser Tuesday!!

This weeks teaser is from Blood, Book 2 in The Vampires of Linbridge Series. Enjoy!!

“I have one question.” I begin. “Why did you do it, why did you bring Clara here?”
He sighs while rubbing the back of his neck. “At first I thought it would be a good idea. I thought that she could keep you safe. I never expected her to be so vindictive. When she proposed the idea of joining our clan again I didn’t think twice. I was jealous of what you had with Ivan.”
“Clara convinced me that it was a great idea. I had no idea that she’d completely push you out. Before I realized it she had her claws deep into Ivan, and you…you were out of my reach.” He adds.
“Why didn’t you just talk to me?” I push.
“I didn’t think that you’d listen.” He breathes out. “You were so wrapped up in Ivan that you barely noticed me, or even James, for that matter.”
“Erik, I had no idea how this clan thing was supposed to work. No one told me that I couldn’t just be with Ivan.” I argue.
“That’s my fault. I shouldn’t have allowed it to happen.” Erik replies.
“I’m sorry, Harper. I can’t say it enough how sorry I am.” He then breathes out.
I nod and then stand back up. “My heart has ached every day since I watched the three of you kiss Clara at the club. The only other time I felt that pain was when Finnick broke my heart.”
“Everyone I’ve ever loved has broken my heart.” I whimper.
“I can’t speak for the others but as long as I live I will never break your heart again, Harper. I want you and only you. Right now you hold my heart in your hands.” Erik replies before pausing briefly. “If you want me I’ll stay and if you want me to leave, I will.”
“Erik…” I breathe out as I bow my head. “I don’t want you to leave. I never wanted you to leave. Even while I was with Ivan I felt something for you, you know that, and that’s why what you did hurt so much.”
“What do you want me to do?” Erik asks softly as he takes another step closer to me.
He lifts my chin to look into my eyes but I shrug his hand away. He sighs softly before kneeling down in front of me. I bite my lip as he gazes up at me while his hands grip my hips.
“Please, forgive me, Harper. I’ll get on my knees everyday and beg for your forgiveness if that’s what it takes.” He pleads.
Reaching down I place my hand against his cheek. He leans into my touch.
“I can’t forgive you, Erik. I will someday, but not right now.” I whisper gently. “Give me time.”
He nods and then closes his eyes.
          “Erik…” I whisper.
“Yes…” He replies hoarsely as he reopens his eyes.
“I still love you.” I insist sincerely.

Teaser Tuesday!!

Teaser Tuesday!!

This weeks teaser is from Blood, Book 2 in The Vampires of Linbridge Series. There's a new character coming to town!Enjoy!!

****

“Would someone like to tell me what’s happening?” The stranger nearly screams as he places his hands on the back of his head nervously.
“Harper is a special kind of vampire, Silas.” Godric answers him. “She only drinks other vampire’s blood. She is harmless to humans, such as you.”
“Seriously…?” He barks out in disbelief.
          “Yes.” Godric replies shortly.
“Godric, she bit me pretty deep.” Drake breathes out.
“I’ll stay and heal you afterward then.” Godric sighs as he turns his attention back to us. “I need to speak with you, Megan, and Tyler anyway.”
“Megan, can you get me another bag of blood?” Drake asks.
This time Megan hands the bag to Silas. He stares at it for a moment before bringing it over to Drake. He holds it out towards us and I growl.
Drake chuckles as he pulls my back against his chest while I continue to feed. “Easy, Silas, she gets a little possessive when she drinks. Most vampires do actually, and it’s best you don’t forget that.”
Silas nods and then tries again to give Drake the bag of blood. This time I release my bite on Drake before I lunge towards Silas. Before I can bite him Drake grabs a hold of me.
“What was that?” Drake laughs nervously as I fight against him.
“Silas, step back.” Godric commands before moving in front of me.
He studies me closely before glancing over my shoulder at Drake. “Has she ever done that before with any human?”
“No. That was a first.” Drake answers him.
           “Huh…” Godric breathes out.
He turns to Silas before grabbing his arms roughly. Silas’s eyes go wide before he begins fighting against Godric’s grasp.
“Silas, this would go a lot easier if you’d stop fighting me.” Godric growls out.
“You can’t be seriously.” Silas spits out. “I did not sign up for this shit.”
“This is the price you pay to live in this town.” Godric snaps. “Now, stop fighting.”
           “Godric, stop.” Drake demands.
Instead of allowing Godric to follow through with whatever he had planned Drake holds onto me tightly with one arm while he place his wrist back into my mouth. My hunger takes over the rest. I close my eyes and drink down his blood as I sigh softly and relax against his body.
“Maybe it would be best if I took her back to James.” Drake sighs.
Finally gaining control I pull away from Drake. “I’ll be alright here with you guys, Drake.”
“Are you sure about that?” Drake questions as he spins me around to face him. “You just tried to attack Silas.”
“I’m fine. I just lost control for a few seconds.” I insist.
He searches my eyes for a few moments before nodding his head. “Alright, but if you stay here you’re not leaving my side, okay.”

Progress Update

Progress Update

Alright, I thought it was time for me to put out a progress update. I use to do monthly updates but somewhere along the way I got so busy that I stopped. Anyway, I missed being able to share my progress and the current projects that I'm working on. So, here's a list of projects I'm currently working on, planning, and a rough timeline of when I'd like to get these projects done.

****

Blood, Book 2 in The Vampires of Linbridge Series

First, I'd like to share my progress with Blood, Book 2 in The Vampires of Linbridge Series. So far I am slowly getting back on schedule. I'm really hoping to get the first draft done by August 1st. If that happens I could plan a release as soon as mid August, which is what I'm aiming for.  I'm really excited for the future of this story and where it's going. I'm also planning on a novella for James once book 2 is finished. That's still up in the air though. I have so many other projects that need my attention. I know fans of this series would like me to focus on only it but that's not possible. I will place it at the top of my list but I have other series that need my attention too. There are some that need finished and others that need second books written. Like I've said countless times before there's just not enough time in the day to write.

****

Sacrifice, Book 3 in The Angels Evermore Series

Once Blood is done my next project will be finishing up a series that I started way back when I started publishing. I will be editing and then hopefully publishing the final book in The Angels Evermore series. I'll tell you now that it might not be what everyone who has read that series expects but it wraps the series up. To be completely honest that has been the hardest series for me to have written. Nothing was easy. The entire process was a struggle which is why I'm ending it. I'd rather end it than leave it unfinished. That's my goal for all of my series actually. I may take awhile to get it out but none of my series will ever just end without some sort of closure. That's a vow I take to heart. I've read so many stories that end with book two and then never carry on. I fully understand how frustrating that can be when you fall in love with a series. Anyway, I would like to release this story around then end of August. It's all written but needs some major editing so I want to give myself more than enough time to do what needs to be done so I'm comfortable with the final draft. (I'll be sharing a cover reveal within the next few weeks for this book.)

****

The Rebels, Book 2 in The Chosen Series

Next on my list will be the second book in The Chosen Series. I loved this story the second I wrote it and I've found myself longing to get back to it. I love my sci-fi stories. One of my favorite things is to create new worlds. I have a feeling that I'll go from writing book 2 straight into writing book 3. That would be ideal but we'll see when the time comes. I would really like to get book 2 finished and released before the end of the year. I'll aim for a October release. Of course if possible I'd love to release it sooner.

****

Brave, Book 4 in The Onyx Wolves Series

After all of that, I'd like to get back to The Onyx Wolves Series. So far, I have a third of the forth book finished so it should be an easy project to continue with. Again, if I get on a role with writing this series I'll continue on with book five, which will possibly be the end to that series. I would love to have a November of December release for this series. Of course if it gets finished sooner I'd be glad.

****

Book 2 in The Winter Fae Series

This is another series that I need to work on but it's getting pushed back since I just released the first book only a few months ago. There's still a lot of planning that needs to be done but the second I get a chance this will get written. More than likely this book won't be released until the spring of 2018.

****

Last but not least, I have been planning, on the side, another Reverse Harem series. I'm not going to say much about the story right now but I'm getting excited about it. This is exciting for those of you who have become fans of The Vampires of Linbridge. I can't wait to share details about this series once I'm able to.

****

So, there it is, my list of to do's. As you can see I've got my plate full but I'm confident that I'll get these projects done and released soon. It may take some long sleepless nights in order to get them written but I'll do whatever it takes.

Tuesday Teaser!!

Teaser Tuesday!!

Since last Tuesday's teaser was for Snow I decided to share a longer teaser for The Vampires of Linbridge today. Enjoy!!

****

“Are you ready to go?” James calls out.
“Yes.” I breathe out.
He nods and then starts the bike’s engine. A moment later we take off down the road, away from the hotel that had become like home and back towards Linbridge.
It doesn’t take long before the town comes into view.
My heart pounds within my chest with a mixture of excitement and fear. I had no idea what to expect once we crossed the border but I was also excited to be able to see my family and friends again.
Until now I hadn’t realized how much I had missed them.
Once we’re in Linbridge James turns down the road in the opposite direction of home. Instead he drives towards my parent’s house on the other side of town.
I was relieved but at the same time nervous to see my parents. It had been a while since I had visited them and I felt guilty for not even calling to check in with them.
After a few minutes James parks the bike behind my father’s car in the short driveway. I climb off and then remove my helmet before staring at the house where I had grown up.
A million different emotions slam into me before James steps in front of me.
“Focus on me.” He instructs while placing his hands on either side of my face.
I nod and then sigh softly.
“Don’t worry, Harper, your parents have understood everything that you’ve been through. I’ve keep in contact with them while you were gone.” James then explains softly.
“You talked to them?” I whisper while searching his eyes.
“I did. I told them everything. I figured you’d want them to know that you were alright.” He replies.
“Did you tell them about Clara?” I push.
“No. They know she’s gone but they don’t know the truth. No one knows the truth but our clan, Drake, and Godric.” James reassures me.
Before I can say another word Mom rushes out of the house and down the steps. She holds her arms out towards me and I run into them.
“My baby girl…” She whispers softly into my hair as she embraces me tightly. “I couldn’t wait to hold you in my arms a second longer.”
“I’m sorry, I was just nervous about seeing you.” I reply honestly.
She leans back slightly to look me in the eyes. “You never have to be nervous to see us, Harper. I could care less about what’s happening. I just want to hold my daughter.”
“Now, come on inside. Your father wants to see you too.” Mom then pushes.
She guides me into the house with James following along behind us.
The second I step through the door Dad grabs me into an abrupt hug. “You had us worried, Harper. If it wasn’t for James we would have been frantic.”
“It’s been bad here the last few days.” Mom chimes in.
“What do you mean?” James asks.
“Erik and Ivan have been out of control.” She answers. “Elizabeth is dead and the council has fled. The only one who stayed behind is Godric.”
“The town is falling apart.” Dad breathes out.
“Have Erik and Ivan killed anyone?” James questions nervously.
“No but they’ve been attacking and feeding without caring about the town’s rules. Other vampires have begun following them.” Dad explains.
James curses while pinching the bridge of his nose. “This explains why I haven’t been able to connect with them.”
“What’s going on, James?” I whisper, unsure if I wanted to know.
“They’ve turned feral.” He answers simply before continuing on. “We’re going to have to stop them and force them to gain control again.”

Happy 4th of July!!

****

Izzy…come on. Open the door.” Avery pleads for the tenth time since he had come home from school.
He and the guys had each tried to coax me out of the room but I had ignored each of them.
“Isabelle, please. We want to help you.” August tries this time.
Everyone goes quiet in the hallway before Dorian speaks loudly. “What the hell is going on?”
“She locked herself inside her room.” Avery snarls. “What did you say to her?”
“I didn’t say anything to her. I drove her home from school and dropped her off here.” Dorian replies.
“She packed her bag, Dorian.” Avery nearly yells. “You said something or did something that made her believe that you were putting her back into the system.”
No one says a word.
Seconds tick by painfully before Dorian lets out a long string of curses.
“Boys, why don’t you go do your chores. Dorian and I will take care of this.” August grunts.
I listen as their footsteps fade down the stairs before I move to sit up on the edge of my bed again nervously.
“How do I fix this, Dad?” Dorian asks.
Standing up I move over to the door quietly before placing my ear against the wood so I could hear them better.
“She’s scared, Dorian.” August replies. “She needs you to reassure her that she’s not going anywhere.”
“Do you really think she’s going to believe me?” Dorian whispers.
“Prove it to her, Dorian.” August insists. “She needs you. She needs a father.”
“How do I do that, Dad?” He questions, his voice filled with anxiety.
“You’ll figure it out.” August replies. “Give her some time.”
Without another word August’s heavy footsteps fade, leaving Dorian alone.
