Update 9/21/19

Update

First of all, I'm still here.

Second, I want to thank each and every one of my fans for being so patient with me. This year has not gone as I had hoped and I am beyond sorry I haven't released the stories that I had promised.

It's not that I didn't want to release those stories; I just couldn't write no matter how hard I tried. The reason for this is that I had become depressed. I had so many losses last year that it eventually caught up with me.

The good news is that I am winning my battle with depression. I have begun to write again, and have just finished A Whisper of Winter, the second book in the Winter Fae Series. I will be releasing it as soon as edits are done. It should be ready at the beginning of October.

For now, A Whisper of Winter will be my last release for this year. I've chosen this course because I'd rather not put any more deadlines on my shoulders. The last thing I want to do is disappoint anyone or fall back into my depression. In the meantime, I will be working on other books. I plan to have a lot of releases set up for next year to make up for this year's lack of releases.

Also, I will be posting progress on each new story along the way and I promise to give updates each month.

Along with writing, I will be working on updating the books that I have already released. I have been working on some new title page art that I'm excited about. If I have time, I will also be working on paperbacks. I have fallen way behind with those so that is something I would like to catch up with.

If you have any questions about upcoming books or series, please feel free to ask. I know some of you have been waiting a while for the next books in certain series and I will be working hard to catch up with those series. Some series I will be finishing next year so I can begin releasing new series.

So, bear with me a little longer. I promise you won't regret it.

Some Changes Coming

Some changes are coming to The Vampires of Linbridge Series.

Since I've been editing and updating my heart out, I decided that this series needed some new covers. I loved the roses but when I did the latest cover for book three I just couldn't get it right. I took a step back and realized that they weren't my best. Anyway, long story short, I stayed up late to search through hundreds of photos until I finally found the perfect one. It was luck that this photo wasn't the only one of the model. Once I did the cover for Bitten, I fell in love. These new covers blow the old ones out of the water. I am so excited to share them with you. I've also chosen the title for book three. It's going to be called Eternal!!

Now that that is out of the way here they are in all of their glory.

The main books in the series are not the only ones getting a change. Erik's book and Ivan's are also going to be a bit different. Check them out.

So, what do you think? Do you like the new covers?

Update

Update

I've been absent for a little while so I'd like to give an update on what I'm currently working on and what you can expect for the coming months ahead.

As of right now, I am going through all of my already published books. I usually do this at the beginning of each year, but things kind of got in the way.

So, for the month of October, I'll be sorting through, updating, and editing all of my previous works. Right now I've gotten through three of my series and a few of my singles. If all goes as planned, I should be finished with this updating by November.

While I've been updating, I have been working on Brave, Book 4 in the Onyx Wolves Series. It's a slow process since I'm not focusing all of my attention on it, but I'm making progress.

Once I finish updating all of my previous works I'll be focusing my time on getting Brave done and then I'll move on to the next book in The Chosen Series.

Since the holidays are coming, I'm not going to make any promises for any releases this year. What I will be doing is gearing up for next year. I'll be planning releases while writing as fast as my fingers can type.

You can expect lots of Tuesday Teasers, Giveaways, and other fun things from me over the next few months.

Happy Reading!!

Progress Update

Progress Update

Alright, I thought it was time for me to put out a progress update. I use to do monthly updates but somewhere along the way I got so busy that I stopped. Anyway, I missed being able to share my progress and the current projects that I'm working on. So, here's a list of projects I'm currently working on, planning, and a rough timeline of when I'd like to get these projects done.

****

Blood, Book 2 in The Vampires of Linbridge Series

First, I'd like to share my progress with Blood, Book 2 in The Vampires of Linbridge Series. So far I am slowly getting back on schedule. I'm really hoping to get the first draft done by August 1st. If that happens I could plan a release as soon as mid August, which is what I'm aiming for.  I'm really excited for the future of this story and where it's going. I'm also planning on a novella for James once book 2 is finished. That's still up in the air though. I have so many other projects that need my attention. I know fans of this series would like me to focus on only it but that's not possible. I will place it at the top of my list but I have other series that need my attention too. There are some that need finished and others that need second books written. Like I've said countless times before there's just not enough time in the day to write.

****

Sacrifice, Book 3 in The Angels Evermore Series

Once Blood is done my next project will be finishing up a series that I started way back when I started publishing. I will be editing and then hopefully publishing the final book in The Angels Evermore series. I'll tell you now that it might not be what everyone who has read that series expects but it wraps the series up. To be completely honest that has been the hardest series for me to have written. Nothing was easy. The entire process was a struggle which is why I'm ending it. I'd rather end it than leave it unfinished. That's my goal for all of my series actually. I may take awhile to get it out but none of my series will ever just end without some sort of closure. That's a vow I take to heart. I've read so many stories that end with book two and then never carry on. I fully understand how frustrating that can be when you fall in love with a series. Anyway, I would like to release this story around then end of August. It's all written but needs some major editing so I want to give myself more than enough time to do what needs to be done so I'm comfortable with the final draft. (I'll be sharing a cover reveal within the next few weeks for this book.)

****

The Rebels, Book 2 in The Chosen Series

Next on my list will be the second book in The Chosen Series. I loved this story the second I wrote it and I've found myself longing to get back to it. I love my sci-fi stories. One of my favorite things is to create new worlds. I have a feeling that I'll go from writing book 2 straight into writing book 3. That would be ideal but we'll see when the time comes. I would really like to get book 2 finished and released before the end of the year. I'll aim for a October release. Of course if possible I'd love to release it sooner.

****

Brave, Book 4 in The Onyx Wolves Series

After all of that, I'd like to get back to The Onyx Wolves Series. So far, I have a third of the forth book finished so it should be an easy project to continue with. Again, if I get on a role with writing this series I'll continue on with book five, which will possibly be the end to that series. I would love to have a November of December release for this series. Of course if it gets finished sooner I'd be glad.

****

Book 2 in The Winter Fae Series

This is another series that I need to work on but it's getting pushed back since I just released the first book only a few months ago. There's still a lot of planning that needs to be done but the second I get a chance this will get written. More than likely this book won't be released until the spring of 2018.

****

Last but not least, I have been planning, on the side, another Reverse Harem series. I'm not going to say much about the story right now but I'm getting excited about it. This is exciting for those of you who have become fans of The Vampires of Linbridge. I can't wait to share details about this series once I'm able to.

****

So, there it is, my list of to do's. As you can see I've got my plate full but I'm confident that I'll get these projects done and released soon. It may take some long sleepless nights in order to get them written but I'll do whatever it takes.

Happy Reading!!

Monthly Update - November

Monthly Update

Wow, I didn't realize how far behind I've gotten. (My last update was for August.) There's been so much going on these last few months. Even though I haven't had much free time I've been working hard and I'm happy to say that I've finished a few projects that I have been working on.

One of my projects has been an ongoing one that I just couldn't get right. I've rewrote the story three times and I'm finally relieved to say that this rewrite was the charm. The story is exactly how I want it now. Plans for the release will be early next year.

And that brings me to my next little announcement. Since November is coming to an end and the holidays are going to be in full swing I won't be releasing anything until the new year. I'm hoping to have several releases set up and ready to go though. I'll post the list of expected releases for next year hopefully by the end of December.

For the time being I'm going to be working hard to get more books written. I have a few series that need to be wrapped up so I'll be working on those first.

Other than that I don't have much to report on. I'm making progress and that's what matters most.

Happy Writing!!

Monthly Update - July

Monthly Update

I know I'm really late getting this out but here it is. Here's my update for the month of July.

July didn't go quite as planned. A lot of unforeseen health issues came up with family and instead of getting work done I spent time with them. Those issues are thankfully getting better at a slow pace, but never the less they are improving.

The beginning of July did go as planned with my Goodreads Giveaway. That ended up way better than I had expected. It was a pleasant surprise. And instead of doing covers for paperbacks like I had planed to I only ended up refining the covers for The Story of Alexis Rose series. Other than that I didn't get much else done that I had originally planned for.

I did however get some writing done. Not much but I did manage to get a third of the way through writing a story. Of course it's a story that I had previously written but the story hadn't gone as planned so I trashed it in order to rewrite it before even thinking about publishing it. I believe what I've got now is publish worthy though. It will be a while before I finish and get that out.

Meanwhile I have two stories just waiting on the back burner to be edited and published. I have so much to do and so little time to manage right now. I will hopefully get it all done in time. It just might go slower than I'd like.

Even though it's nearly halfway through August I'm going to try and cross a few things off of my to-do list. The good news is that school for my little ones will be starting and having both in classes for the day will free up some writing time for me.

I'm going to keep at it and hopefully I'll make progress forward. No matter what comes my way I'll get through it.

August's monthly update will hopefully be on time unlike July's. I hope to have good news to share then also.

Have a great and productive month.
Happy writing :)

Monthly Update - May

Monthly Update

This month has flown by. I have gotten a lot accomplished but at the same time I kind of placed myself into a new hole of things to do. Not that it's a bad thing. Being busy is a very good thing, especially when writing.

With school ending for my girls I'm going to have a little more free time during the night to write so that's a small plus side to this month ending.

So, for May I have gotten a lot done. I released Betrayed. I finished the project that I had been working on in secret. (Details for that will come in June. It's the start of a new series.) I also worked hard on another new story. I'm actually nearly halfway done writing the first draft.

This past week I claimed an author profile over at BookBub. If you'd like to check it out and follow me there just click on the following link. https://www.bookbub.com/authors/raven-k-asher.

The one thing that I set out to do and didn't get done in May is the paperback version of Betrayed. I had all intentions of doing it but never got the motivation. I'm going to set that as a major goal to complete for June.

Another goal will be to do edits for my secret project and to finish the story I'm currently working on right now. I'm really hoping to get them both released this year. My next goal is to start working on the third book for the Angels Evermore series. I've had trouble writing that series so I think it best to wrap it up with one final book.

In June I will also be having another Goodreads Giveaway. This month it will be for When Tomorrow Never Comes. Keep an eye out for links for that giveaway. It will begin on June 10th and will run through until June 17th.

This coming month is going to be a bit busy but I'm hoping to accomplish my goals. I would really love to go above and beyond them if possible.

Have a great and productive month.
Happy writing :)

Monthly Update - March

March Update

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend. It ended up being a beautiful Easter day here for me and my family.

Today is another story though. The temps have dropped and it's raining outside as I type.

This month has been a great one. I accomplished a lot of the things I've been wanting to do for the last few months.

(Drum roll, please) I finally got Home finished. I even worked hard to get it available for pre-order. Today I'm working on getting it into paperback form. As of right now I have everything ready to go except for the paperback cover.

As much as I had been wanting to finish this series it was also hard to see it come to an end. Now that it's finished though I can finally take a breather.

My plans for April are going to be simple once again. I have another book in a series that I want to get finished. I'm going to put my mind strictly on that book and nothing else. I'll be working on the third book, Betrayed, in The Onyx Wolves Series.

Also, since my last giveaway for Barely Alive went so well I am planning on doing another Goodreads giveaway for another on of my books around mid April. I've already prepared to do a giveaway each month for the next few months actually. It's been a great and fun way  to get my books out there in front of readers.

So, for the month of April I'll be doing a giveaway and working on the third book in The Onyx Wolves Series. It should be simple enough to handle.

Have a great and productive month.
Happy writing :)

Leap Year/ February Update

Leap Year/February Update

What does Leap Year mean? Well it means one extra day for work. That might be good or bad considering your line of work but for me, being a writer, it's a small blessing.

Even though I've fallen behind I'm still making forward progress. It might not be on the projects that I intended but I'm still moving forward. This extra day is going to help me out a bit. I'm going to buckle down and write all day.

My goal today is, at the least, 5,000 words.

Anyway, I'm adding my monthly update into this post to save myself a little bit of time. Plus, I'll be honest I don't have much to say about leap year.

As much as I would love to report that I made progress on Home I have not. Progress has actually come to a screeching halt. Again it's not because I don't know what to write it's just the flow. I can't seem to be able to get the words I want to come out correctly.

On the bright side I did get my Eden One books put into paperback this month like I had planned on. I was able to get them done early on. As of right now nearly all of my books are available in paperback form.

For March I'm going to keep things simple. I'm going to work on the project I'm on now. If I get motivated enough I'll try to work on Home. I really want to get it finished not just for the part of ending the series but because I mentally need to finish something.

I've been stressed and I believe part of the reason I'm struggling so much with my writing is because I haven't finished anything for a while. I need that accomplished feeling that comes from completing a story and ending a series.

So for March my hopes are to get progress done on Home and to continue working on the project I'm currently working on. I'm also going to work on getting the last few paperbacks that I need to get finished out.

Have a great and productive month.
Happy writing :)

Short Update - I'm behind

I'm way behind.

Okay, just like my title suggests, I'm behind. So a few things are going to be pushed back. One of those being my reviews. I might have to cancel that whole idea. It was a way to push me back into reading but as of right now I just can't find the time between trying to get my own writing and editing done. I'm going to try my hardest to do a few reviews but like I stated before it might not happen the way I want it to.

One other note. I am behind on the last book in the Among the Dead series. I was really hoping to release it this month but that isn't going to be happening. I am well over halfway through writing it but I've come to a complete stop. (I was having trouble with where to take the story. I know what I want to happen it's just not coming out.) In the meantime I've been working on another project in order to get my thoughts flowing again. I believe in a week or so I'll be able to return to finishing 'Home'.

Hopefully, I'll get back on track soon but until I do please bear with me. Thank you.

January Update, 2016

January Update

Instead of doing weekly updates like I did last year I'm going to stick with just doing one update a month. It will cover a little bit of everything that has transpired throughout the month.

This month has been a particularly busy one for me. I have been writing, editing, creating new covers, and fixing mistakes.

So far I have released three of the four new books for the Eden One series. The fourth book will be released this coming Friday. All twelve novella episodes will now be within these four books. On their Amazon purchase pages at the end of the descriptions I have written what episodes have been placed into which books.

As well as re-publishing these books they have gotten new looks. I think I outdid myself on these covers this time. I love them :)

Right now I'll keep book four's cover a secret until re-release day :)

I have been working hard for the last few months to also get the final book in the Among the Dead
Trilogy finished as well. I'm a little behind on it right now but I'm still hoping for a February release to mark the release date of my very first book, Barely Alive.

As much as I would love to have it done right now it just hasn't been flowing as good as I would like it to. I'd rather not push the words out. I am making progress on it everyday, but it's slow progress.

On the other hand I have been brainstorming some new ideas for future books. I have actually begun to write one of these stories in an attempt to rekindle my writing for my other stories. Sometimes taking a break from one story helps me to get back on track with another.

Along with all of my story writing my husband and I have been making huge plans to redo our house. Rooms are going to get bigger and hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll be getting my new office done. I'm super excited about that. I desperately need a place of my own to keep things organized.

Another thing I've been dealing with, especially for the last three days are my chicks. I started a little early this year hatching them and some decided to come early. Those little stinkers have put a slight damper on my writing progress along with everything else. Snow days, 2-hour delays, and cleaning house have been the other wrenches in my plans.

With the last two weeks of this month moving by at a rapid speed I'm hoping to get most of the writing done for Home, and get the last book for the Eden One series released.

Next month I'm hoping to get through the last few books remaining to be re-edited and to get the paperback versions out for the Eden One series as well.

It's all on my checklist.

One way or another I will get progress made though, even if I have to sacrifice sleep to do it.

****

Have a great month and stay warm.
Happy writing :)
