Tuesday Teaser!!

Tuesday Teaser

Today's teaser comes from Eternal the third book in The Vampires of Linbridge Series. I've been typing away like crazy to get it written. I can't wait to share this next book with you guys.
It's going to be so exciting.
Anyway, here it is, your teaser.
It's a little short but it's going to leave you wanting more. Enjoy!!

****

“Do you guys hear that?” James questions while tilting his head to the side. “It sounds like a faint beeping sound.”
‘Guys, there’s a red light flashing in here.’ Silas warns within our minds.
“Damn it.” James curses. “Marcus must have set the locks with a bomb.”
“We have to get him out of there before it blows.” Ivan stresses.
I whimper as I turn in his arms. “This can’t be happening.”
‘There’s a timer.’ Silas announces. ‘I have less than five minutes. You guys better hurry.’
“We’ll get him out, Harper.” Erik promises. “But it might be best if you and Ivan went back by the car just in case this doesn’t go our way.”
“I’m not leaving you.” I argue.
“Maybe if we all work together we can get Silas out before the timer runs out.” Ivan suggests.
Erik and James share a look before nodding in agreement.
“Fine, but the second I tell you to leave you better listen.” Erik explains.
I nod. “I’ll run the second that you tell me to.”
“You better.” He replies.
With his permission Ivan and I jump into the hole and then grab the keys that James holds out for us. We each quickly take a lock and begin the task of unlocking each.
I get lucky and find the right key for the first lock.
Smiling triumphantly I move onto the next while Ivan, Erik, and James work quickly to unlock the others.
“What are we going to do once he’s out?” James questions as he continues to work on one of the locks.
Erik shrugs. “I honestly don’t know.”
“We’re going to have to keep him from killing someone.” Ivan stresses.
“If I’m full then he’ll feel full.” I insist.
“That might not work. We can only guess that the animalistic side of Silas will be present. He’s been starved so the vampire side will have more control. It will also make him dangerous towards us and unpredictable.” Erik replies.
“Oh…” I breathe out.
“We won’t allow anything bad to happen to him.” Ivan promises gently.
I nod and bite my lip as I try another lock.
‘The timer is down to two minutes.’ Silas announces within our minds.
I whimper softly as I try key after key inside the lock in my hand. When none of my keys works tears fill my eyes.
This felt hopeless. We were struggling against time that we really didn’t have.
Giving up on that lock I try another.
Once again none of my keys work. My anger gets the best of me and I slam the lock against the chains as hard as I can.
To my surprise the lock splits in two, freeing a set of chains.
‘Uh, the clock just lost ten seconds.’ Silas warns.
Erik, Ivan, and James curse while I begin to cry.
“Damn it.” Erik breathes out before sharing a look with James.
They have a silent conversation before James releases a heavy breath while shaking his head.
“Luck would have to be on our side.” He states out loud.
“Just count the remaining locks.” Erik demands.
“What are you going to do?” I ask.
“We’re going to see how many locks there are and how much time we would lose by breaking them. If there’s more time on the clock than what we’ll lose then we’ll take the risk. If not…” Erik trails off.
He didn’t have to say the rest. It was easy to fill in what would happen if we ran out of time.
Silas and I would die.

Once James is finished counting the locks he and Erik share another long look before Erik sighs roughly while glancing in my direction.
“What’s wrong?” I press.
He shakes his head. “It’s nothing that you need to worry about, Harper.”
I’m about to argue but Ivan steps in front of me. He places his hands on either side of my face while gazing sadly into my eyes.
“Come on, Harper. We need to go to the car while Erik and James finish this.” He pushes.
I nod and then bite my lip as he picks me up to help me out of the hole. Once he’s out he grabs my hand to pull me away.
A whimper leaves my lips as I continue to watch the hole until it’s nearly impossible to see.
‘Silas…’ I whisper into his mind while closing my eyes.
‘Don’t worry, we’ll be together again really soon.’ He promises.
As we reach the car the sound of metal being broken fills the air. I listen closely as the chains fall away from Silas’s box.
Ivan nervously bites his lip while I wrap my arms around his waist.
Time ticks by at a snail’s pace as we wait.
“They’ll have enough time.” Ivan insists.
I wasn't so confident.

Tuesday Teaser

Tuesday Teaser

for

The Rebels (The Chosen Series Book 2)

It's been a while since I last posted a teaser. I'm going to try and get back to it so here's the first of more to come. This is a teaser from Book 2 in The Chosen Series. The first part is from Nova's point of view and the second part is from Edric's point of view. I haven't chosen a release date yet but I'm hoping for a Spring release. As soon as I pick a date I'll post it. Enjoy!!

I can’t believe I actually did it.” I breathe out as I look down at him. “I didn’t think Edric would actually let us kill someone though.”
“He knew that you were proving a point.” Ash replies.
I nod. “I believe I got our point across.”
He nods. “Yes, you did.”
“I think you scared the hell out of Wade.” He adds.
“We should probably talk to him. He’s probably wondering why you looked like a Nokalt.” I sigh. “The last thing we need is for him to tell someone about you.”
“Are you sure we can trust him now?” Ash presses.
“Yes.” I answer confidently.
The Nokalt on the floor suddenly groans and I sigh before closing my eyes. “He’s not dead.”
“It appears not.” Ash replies as he places me on the floor.
“I’ll call for Edric.” I breathe out.
Ash nods and then takes a step back away from me while I grab the necklace around my neck to summon Edric.
Within seconds he appears.
“Take him, he’s not dead.” I state while pointing to the Nokalt lying on the floor.
Without a word Edric moves over to his body before lifting him in his arms. He glances towards me for a moment before disappearing again.
I sigh while turning my attention back towards Ash.
“That was kind of you.” He laughs lightly.
“I’m not a complete monster.” I reply while moving towards him.
“No, you’re not.” Ash replies before he pulls me into his arms. “You still have a soft side to you. No matter what happens you need to hold onto that side.”
“There’s no way I’ll let that side go completely.” I promise.
I smile as I lean close. “Now, kiss me.”
Ash doesn’t hesitate to press his lips to mine.

What the hell was that?” I nearly shout as I join Cato in my room on the station.
“She’s not the girl you knew anymore.” Cato replies. “She’s become ruthless and cruel.”
Ethan laughs from his spot leaning against the wall in the corner. “Did you really expect her to be any other way?”
“She’s out of control.” I breathe out.
“No, she’s pissed.” Ethan replies.
“If you took me back to her I could stop Nova before it gets too out of hand.” He then tries.
“That’s not going to happen.” I sigh while rubbing the back of my neck.
“It wouldn’t be the worst idea. If she stays in control a lot more Nokalt are going to die.” Cato chimes in.
“Shane is still alive.” I announce abruptly.
“Are you sure?” Cato asks.
I nod. “Nova summoned me back. She had me remove him. He was still breathing when I brought him back with me.”
“That means she’s not totally lost.” Ethan states.
“I’ve lost her though. There’s no chance of me getting her back. Ash has chosen her. She’s his now.” I whisper while closing my eyes.
“Are you sure?” Cato pushes.
“I saw the marks with my own two eyes. She didn’t deny it either.” I answer.
Cato curses softly.
The only possible way to get her back now was to either steal her from Ash, which was forbidden here, or I would have to kill him.
“You need to return before someone notices that you’re gone.” Cato suddenly stresses.
The last thing I wanted to do was go back.
“Don’t let what I did be for nothing.” Cato states.
I nod and then sigh roughly before I change my appearance. With my next breath I transport myself back to Wade’s room.

Some Changes Coming

Some changes are coming to The Vampires of Linbridge Series.

Since I've been editing and updating my heart out, I decided that this series needed some new covers. I loved the roses but when I did the latest cover for book three I just couldn't get it right. I took a step back and realized that they weren't my best. Anyway, long story short, I stayed up late to search through hundreds of photos until I finally found the perfect one. It was luck that this photo wasn't the only one of the model. Once I did the cover for Bitten, I fell in love. These new covers blow the old ones out of the water. I am so excited to share them with you. I've also chosen the title for book three. It's going to be called Eternal!!

Now that that is out of the way here they are in all of their glory.

The main books in the series are not the only ones getting a change. Erik's book and Ivan's are also going to be a bit different. Check them out.

So, what do you think? Do you like the new covers?

Wren is a typical, everyday, girl, at least that’s what she believes. What she doesn’t know is that she’s part of a much bigger picture. She’s about to find out and it will change everything she’s ever known.
When a new guy shows up at school, she can’t help but feel connected to him. It’s a connection she has to fight and keep secret from her boyfriend, Jake.
Just when her life begins coming together, it comes unraveled. Some secrets are hard to keep, but others aren’t meant to be kept.
Wren discovers that she’s a descendant of the one and only Little Red Riding Hood.
The second everything comes out into the open Wren’s world changes drastically. She learns that Jake is a hunter, along with their friend Noah. Her other close friend, Aiden, is a descendant of Van Helsing, and Liam…Liam is the wolf from all of the stories she’s been told about.
The only difference is that Liam isn’t a big bad wolf.
No, that’s not how Wren’s story goes. In fact, it’s far from it. Instead of being afraid of Liam, Wren is drawn to him. They share a deep connection, but that’s all thanks to the curse they share. It’s a curse that had destroyed her mother’s love, her grandmother’s love, and the many descendants that came before her. The curse was meant to destroy her happiness.
Thankfully the curse can be broken. It’s not an easy task though, and with danger lurking around every corner it makes it nearly impossible. Add the fact that Wren can’t tell Liam and Jake how to break the curse and it makes it that much more difficult.
Fortunately, fate takes the situation into its own hands.
They are saved but not without a price.
Loved ones will die. Wren’s faith will be tested, and her heart will be broken.
Only the one that she truly loves will save her in the end.

Snow is a special girl with a special gift. She’s a Winter Fae, and a princess, but she doesn’t know that yet. Being raised in the human world with her best friend Tucker and her grandmother has shielded her from reality. They have kept her true identity hidden from her to keep her safe.
Snow had been safely hidden, until now. A Summer Fae has uncovered their secret, and he’s come to take her to the Fae world.
Everything Snow has known changes in an instant when she’s taken through a portal. The Fae world is much harsher than the Human world that she had become comfortable with. She’s got a lot to learn, and quickly. The first thing she learns is that Winter Fae and Summer Fae don’t mix. Unfortunately, that doesn’t stop her from getting attached to the very Fae that had kidnapped her.
Forest, her captor, fights against the connection that seems to be pulling Snow and him together. When Snow pushes to get closer his defenses come crashing down. For Snow, everything seemed to be coming together. She was finding her place in this world. That joy is short-lived when her world once again becomes unraveled.
What Forest and Snow feel can never be, she has to return to her kingdom and he has to flee.
Soon Snow finds herself safely at home with her father, the King. Snow settles into her new role as Princess, but that doesn’t erase what she felt for the Summer Fae. Her heart longs for him and then breaks when unexpected news reaches her of his untimely demise.
She finds herself finding comfort in a set of familiar arms, Everest, a half-breed who reminds her of everything that she lost. He mends her heart while keeping her safe.
That doesn’t stop danger from finding Snow.
No matter what she does her world keeps falling apart around her. Every decision she makes places her on different paths to her future, but which is the right one to follow.
Snow must decide which path to take or risk it all. Will fate intervene or will someone else decide for her? Will love be able to triumph? Only the future knows.

Harper is a young girl who grew up in a special town, a town called Linbridge. What’s so special about this town? Well, it might be the simple fact that most of its residents are vampires. They aren’t the bloodthirsty type though. They only want to live in peaceful harmony with the humans surrounding them. Of course, no one dares to defy the rules that the vampires have placed over the town.
When Harper’s eighteenth birthday comes, it comes with the chance to become a protected or an unclaimed. The protected are well taken care of by their vampire protectors while the unclaimed are fair game for whatever goes bump in the night.
A week before her birthday her current protector, Finnick, rejects his claim to continue being her protector. Harper’s whole world changes in an instant, but it’s not all bad. She meets a few new friends. There’s a connection she has with them, one that she can’t exactly explain. Along with the new friends, she is reunited with an old one, Alex. He’s one of the unclaimed.
Just when things seem to be at their best, everything once again crumbles down around Harper. Lies are uncovered, and some truths are revealed. There’s a bigger picture to Harper’s connection with her newest friends. They aren’t what they seem. In fact, they aren’t even human. They’re vampires, part of a vampire clan to be precise and they hunt down other vampires who break the laws of their kind.
Harper soon falls for one of the clan members, but it all comes unraveled with the sudden appearance of an old flame. Clara has held the clan's hearts for centuries.
Will Clara’s past with the clan destroy everything Harper has or will another threat take her life away? Can love prevail or will it only destroy her more?
Harper may run, but she won’t be able to hide forever.
