Monthly Update - June

Monthly Update

This month didn't go exactly as planned. I've been super busy and I wasn't able to reach many of the goals that I had set out for myself. The good news is that I did get a few goals accomplished and I'm slowly finishing up a few others. They might not get finished by the end of the month but I am making progress.

For the month of July I have lots going on. I will be having a countdown sale for Alone on Amazon, and a Goodreads Giveaway for Hidden.

While those are going on I will be finishing up my current project. Once that project is completed I will be placing my writing aside for a little while. Instead of writing I'll be editing the upcoming stories that I have finished and I'll be working on book covers. I am way behind on doing these two tasks so for the month of July that's what I'll be working on.

After I get all that necessary business out of the way I'm hoping to start on either the last book in the Angels Evermore series or the fourth book in the Onyx Wolves series. I would really love to get both of those books done by the end of this year.

Even though I have a lot on my plate once again I have faith that I'll continue moving forward. Fingers crossed that I get all of my goals completed this month.

Don't forget to keep an eye out for my Countdown on Amazon and my Goodreads Giveaway!! Links for those will be posted soon.

Happy writing :)

Evette is a sweet girl, a quiet girl, one that was stuck in the foster care system from a young age. After years of being passed around to multiple families that have only promised her broken dreams she finally finds the perfect place. Evette has everything she could want. The love of a mother and father, even a brother and sister. Everything is perfect until she makes one mistake, one that would cost Eve her boyfriend, Cole. Not only does she lose Cole but she also loses his twin brother Liam. After losing them and losing the family that she had come to love Eve once again finds herself being passed from one home to the next as she is haunted by Cole’s memories. They had had three years together. Most of their time together had been perfect but there had also been some dark moments. Cole had always promised her that tomorrow would come for them both, that their life together would continue on. It was a promise that he was always supposed to keep, but sadly for Eve life had charged forward while Cole had remained behind, his life cut too short by his own hands. With a broken heart and nightmares of what Cole had done Eve must find her way through the fog that has suddenly shrouded her life. She must find a way to rid herself of the demons that haunt her every moment while being passed from one strange home to the next. Luckily she finds an odd couple to take her in. They are her saviors, her instant protectors. Matt and Eric quickly fill her life with meaning again and with their help she finds a way to live with constant thoughts of Cole. The only problem she ends up facing is how to deal with being home again, in the same town that she had been in with Cole. Not to mention that she only lived a few houses away from the family that had given her away so carelessly. Now, she has to face her fears and face Liam. She has to decide whether or not to pursue a relationship with the one person that reminded her most of Cole or to chase after the new boy across the street, Jayce. Will she be able to love again, or will the memories haunting her keep her from finding the love she so desperately needs? Truths are revealed and hidden emotions spring forth. Only Eve’s heart will be able to decide her fate, her heart will decide her future.

The Chosen is now available!!

Now available for purchase in the kindle store. You can also read this story and many others for free with Kindle Unlimited. Happy Reading!!

Amazon Link: The Chosen (The Chosen Series Book 1)

Nova has a great life. She has friends, a boyfriend, and a supportive family. It all appears perfect from the outside looking in. In truth it’s far from perfect. Her boyfriend, Aden, is a closely guarded secret. Her friends have nearly all left her, and her step-mother is cruel behind closed doors.

Why, well because of the Nokalt.

Ever since they arrived life hasn’t been the same. The Nokalt are free to walk the streets and live side by side with the humans. Of course there’s a catch to it all. Every girl under the age of eighteen can be chosen by one of the Nokalt. Having a relationship with a human male is forbidden.

It was a simple term of agreement for a peaceful coexistence and most people accepted these new rules when the Nokalt came but not Nova. She doesn’t trust them, in fact she hates every last one. Her feelings are shared by her father, brother, and Aden.

Her step-mother and all of her former friends believe the opposite. They believe that it’s an honor to be chosen by one of the Nokalt. Anyone who believes otherwise is a fool, which is why Nova’s step-mother is hell bent on her being chosen.

Against everything that she believes one special Nokalt somehow works his way into Nova’s heart. His name is Edric and he’s the son of a very powerful leader, the ambassador of their region to be precise.

Edric has been sent to infiltrate a rebel group in Nova’s town. That’s always been his job, wash, rinse, and repeat. It’s always been easy for him, until now.

He never expected to meet the one girl that would steal his heart right from under his guard. Of course he never expected that Nova would be mixed up with the rebels that he was sent to take down either. Fortunately she is innocent in all of this but it doesn’t mean that he can save her.

Lies are abundant and truths are uncovered. Some of the people closest to Nova are taken away, and the Nokalt finally show their true colors. They aren’t all that they appeared to be.

Will the connection that Nova and Edric share be strong enough to keep them together or will their love for each other tear them apart? Only they can decide the right paths to take, but will they be the right ones.
