Teaser Tuesday!!

Teaser Tuesday!!

I know I'm late posting this but here's a teaser for Blood, Book 2 in The Vampires of Linbridge series.

****

Without warning James scoops me up into his arms before he carries me towards the bathroom. He stops at the door for a moment before glancing back at the door.
“The rooms free, Drake.” He calls out.
James then carries me into the bathroom before placing me to my feet. The sheet falls to the floor, exposing my bare body to him once again.
He pulls me snugly against his body while cupping my cheek in his hand.
“I’m going to spend a lifetime making you happy.” He vows. “I want you by my side every minute of every day.”
“That’s going to be hard to do when you return to Linbridge without me.” I whisper.
“I’m not going back without you, Harper.” He replies seriously. “There’s no way I would return home without you.”
“James…can we do this later?” I reply softly.
I wasn’t ready to talk about going back to Linbridge, not yet anyway. Thankfully James doesn’t fight me on the subject.
He nods. “Of course we can.”
Leaning down he brushes his lips across mine before moving to the side to turn the water on in the shower. He tests it a few moments later before lifting me up in his arms again while placing my legs around his waist.
I gasp as he carries me into the shower, under the hot water.
Another gasp leaves my lips as he once again joins his body with mine.
Being with James was an entirely different experience than being with Erik or Ivan. James was gentle. He made every move and every touch feel as though it would light my body on fire.
There wasn’t a moment where he took his attention away from me.
He made me feel the way I had always wanted to feel. He made me feel wanted. He also made me feel loved, and adored.
Right now Erik and Ivan didn’t matter, only James and I did.
“I love you, Harper.” James whispers into my ear before he nuzzles his face into my neck.
“I love you too, James.” I reply wholeheartedly.
I meant it too, with every fiber of my being.

Snow (Life's a Fairytale Collection) Book 2

I haven't chosen a release date yet for this story, but I'm planning on a mid-July release. I'll post the date and a pre-order link as soon as I pick it.

Snow is the second book in the Life's a Fairytale Collection. This collection will contain modern day stories that have some fairy tale connections. For example Snow has some Snow White references, but it comes with some of its own unique twists. I hope everyone enjoys reading this collection as much as I did writing them.

Release Day!!

It's Finally Here!!
Release Day!!

***This short novella is intended to give this series a different point of view. This story is not required to be read between Book One and Book Two. Book Two will begin where Book One left off.***

Told from Erik's point of view.

In an instant Erik’s life comes crashing down around him. He runs after Harper only to find out that she’s attacked Clara, Ivan, and James.
Unfortunately, Clara’s dead.
Her death sends Ivan into a tailspin. He wants Harper to pay for the damage that she’s done.
Erik realizes too late what led up to this. They had pushed Harper too far. This mess was their own fault. Clara’s death was on their own hands, not Harper’s.
Of course getting Ivan to realize that takes time, time that they don’t have.
In order to keep Harper safe Erik does the only thing he can to ensure that Clara’s death doesn’t get pinned on Harper. He lies. He blames a known killer. Marcus. This lie comes with a price. The council wants him caught. They want Erik, Ivan, and James to hunt him down.
Given no other choice Erik agrees. Getting Ivan to agree to it is another story, and getting James to agree to the hunt is impossible when his attentions are only aimed at getting Harper back.
The clan breaks apart but Erik manages to pull it back together, if only for a moment.
While James runs after Harper, Erik works with Ivan to mend their relationship while they hunt down Marcus. No matter what they have to make certain the lies that they’ve spun are never uncovered.
Will they be able to capture this dangerous vampire? They will, but only if they work together.

Teaser Tuesday!!

Teaser Tuesday!!

It's that special day again. I have a surprise for everyone. I'm going to make this a Double Teaser Tuesday!!  I'm also going to make this a cover and title reveal for Book 2 of The Vampires of Linbridge.

So, this weeks teasers are going to be from Erik, Book 1.5 and (insert drum roll) Blood, Book 2 of The Vampires of Linbridge Series.

First, the teaser for Erik...

“Why are you following me?” Marcus bites out. “Did someone send you after me?”
Instead of answering him I stay silent. I wasn’t about to give away any details that he could use against us. The less he knew about us the better advantage we had.
At this point it was all we had. The element of surprise was long lost.
“Did Elizabeth finally send some hunters after me?” Marcus snorts before continuing on. “I wouldn’t put it past her. Honestly, I expected it sooner.”
He growls as he tightens his grasp on Ivan. “I’m not going to be hunted down like some animal.”
“That’s not what we’re here for. We were searching for a girl.” I insist.
“What girl?” Marcus questions with a raised brow.
“The girl that I had been watching from the stage, the same girl you decided to go after.” I clip out.
“Interesting…” Marcus replies as he places Ivan down to his feet. “She must be something if the two of you are after her.”
“She belongs to us.” Ivan snaps.
Marcus growls and easily tosses Ivan to the floor before a maniacal grin crosses his lips. “We’ll see who she belongs to.”
With that threat he disappears from view within the blink of an eye.
“Where the hell did he go?” Ivan asks in a panic as he jumps up to his feet.
“I don’t know.” I breathe out as I scan the dark room that we were standing in.
Never had I ever witnessed a vampire disappear before. It was a power that I never knew existed. To be honest it scared me, especially since he now had his sights aimed at Harper.
“We messed up big time, Ivan.” I whisper.
“I know.” He breathes out. “Let’s fix it before it ruins everything.”

Don't forget Erik, Book 1.5 will be released this Friday, June 23rd!!

Next, the cover reveal and teaser for Blood, Book 2...

“Drake…” I sigh.
He reopens his eyes to look at me. “Yeah…?”
“Do you think that we’re safe here?” I ask.
“Yes. I highly doubt that anyone would expect us to stay so close to Linbridge.” He insists confidently. “They probably think that we’re miles away, not in the next town.”
I nod and then place my face into my hands while closing my eyes tightly.
“Relax, Harper.” Drake commands gently.
“That’s easier said than done.” I breathe out. “I can’t stop thinking about what I did, Drake.”
After a moment I look up at him. “I killed someone, Drake. I attacked Ivan and James. I will never forgive myself for that.”
“You couldn’t control yourself, Harper.” He replies.
“That’s what scares me the most.” I whisper. “I don’t want to lose control like that ever again.”
“As long as you practice control it won’t happen again.” Drake replies before continuing on. “You can’t beat yourself up for what happened though. They pushed you into losing control. They’re the ones who should have known better.”
“I should have stayed away from them.” I breathe out before I lie back on my bed.
“Do you really think that’s possible? You’re part of their clan, Harper. I don’t think you’ll ever truly be able to stay away from them.” Drake replies seriously.
“Probably not, but it’s not like I can go running back to them now.” I reply with a heavy sigh. “There’s no way they could ever forgive me.”
“You’re underestimating their love for you, Harper.” Drake insists.
“Drake, if they loved me they never would have brought Clara into Linbridge. They never would have chosen her over me either.” I argue.
“They messed up. I bet they realize that now.” He replies.
“Don’t you think…?” I reply sarcastically.
Drake grunts in response before he lets out a low groan. “No matter what I don’t think returning to Linbridge anytime soon would be wise.”

Tuesday Teaser!!

Tuesday Teaser!!

Just in case you missed it I've set the release date for Erik, Friday, June 23rd, 2017!!
You can pre-order this novella on Amazon. Just follow the link below.

Now, the Teaser.

“I was beginning to wonder if you were ever going to get your ass down here.” Ivan chuckles as he places some papers down onto the dining room table.
Every inch of the table was covered with photos and file folders.
“What’s all of this?” I question as I move to study one of the photos taken of Marcus closer.
“This is the path of destruction that Marcus has left behind.” Ivan answers.
“Seriously…?” I blurt in shock.
There were so many deaths, so many attacks. Whoever Marcus was he was more dangerous than I had originally thought.
“He’s bloodthirsty, Erik.” Ivan stresses. “He lives for killing vampires.”
“I see that.” I breathe out.
“Do we know who changed him?” I question as I look through a few of the papers within a folder.
“All the council has disclosed is that it was a vampire passing through Linbridge. Nothing else is said about it in the paperwork and no one else has looked into it any deeper.” Ivan replies.
I nod and then glance up at him. “I have a feeling that one of the council members changed him.”
“Who do you think it was? Elizabeth?” Ivan pushes.
“That’s exactly who I think it was.” I reply. “I think that’s why she basically stated that she wouldn’t mind him being killed instead of captured.”
“What are we going to do about that?” Ivan asks.
“Nothing…” I answer simply.
Ivan opens his mouth to argue but he stops before a single word is uttered. Even he knew there wasn’t anything to be done or said about Elizabeth. She ruled this town and if we tried to defy her we would pay dearly.
After a few moments Ivan sighs roughly. “This sucks.”
“I know.” I agree.
“Do you think that Harper is safe out there with this guy roaming around?” Ivan questions softly.
“Honestly…I don’t know.” I answer truthfully.
Harper was new at being a vampire and so was Drake. Neither of them would be prepared to face anything like this. I highly doubted they knew how to defend themselves.
“We have to find her.” Ivan stresses.

Teaser Tuesday!!

Teaser Tuesday!!

Here's a small teaser from Erik's point of view.

****

“What the hell were you thinking?” Godric snarls.
I open my mouth to speak but he continues on. “How could you be so stupid? I know I’ve taught you better than this. I gave you time to fix this on your own and you didn’t.”
“Now, it’s too late.” He snarls.
“Where is she Godric?” I question him.
He remains silent. It isn’t until I hear an engine start that I realize where she is. Without thought I run out of the room and through the front door just in time to see the car pull away.
I stand there helplessly as I watch her disappear down the road.
After a few moments I return to the kitchen.
Ivan snarls as he stands to his feet. “Where is she?”
“She’s gone.” I answer him.
“You let her get away?” He bites out.
“Yes.” I reply simply.
“She killed Clara.” Ivan growls out.
Before I can say another word Godric steps between us. “Did you expect Harper to lie down and take this, Ivan? Did you expect her to stand by and watch you parade around with another girl, one that you didn’t belong with?” Godric fires off.
“You’re damn lucky she didn’t kill you.” He adds seriously.
“I’m going to kill her.” Ivan growls out.
“No. You’re not.” Godric replies sternly.
“She has to pay for what she’s done.” Ivan argues.
Ivan turns to walk away but Godric growls before he rushes forward. He wraps his hand around Ivan’s throat before slamming his back into the nearest wall.
The plaster cracks and crumbles behind Ivan as the breath leaves his chest.
“No one is going to hurt Harper. She is under my protection.” Godric states with a low warning growl. “If anyone needs punished it’s the three of you.”
“What exactly did we do wrong?” Ivan chokes out stupidly.
He was blind if he couldn’t understand why Harper had lost control. I had realized it too late. I had foolishly thought that this wouldn’t hurt her.
What happened was exactly what we deserved.
“Give it up, Ivan.” I chime in. “We shouldn’t have let this get this far. Godric’s right, we’re the ones who messed up and we’re the ones who paid the price.”
Turning my attention towards Godric I sigh. “Do you know where Harper is going?”
“She’s leaving Linbridge, that’s all you need to know.” He answers.
“Where the hell is she going to go?” Ivan nearly screams.
“It doesn’t matter.” Godric replies. “You didn’t love her anyway.”
“Like hell I didn’t.” Ivan screams.
“Then why in the hell did you bring Clara here? Why the hell did you turn your back on Harper?” Godric argues. “All three of you have been acting like children and I for one am surprised something like this didn’t happen sooner.”
“How do we get her back, Godric?” I ask.
“You don’t.” He answers simply.
