Weekly Update 12/1/ 2015

Weekly Update

I can't believe it's already December. Time has flown by so quickly this year. November was the anniversary of my second year as an author and it completely passed me by before I remembered that little fact.

November was a very busy month for me. I finished up a lot of projects that I had started throughout this year. I also made plans for next year's projects and release dates. Lot's of planning and checking things off of my to-do lists.

Now that it's December things are going to get a bit more tricky with the holidays right around the corner but I am planning on getting a few more paperback versions released.

There won't be any new releases until next year though. I will be doing some cover reveals and some teasers for the next few weeks.

If all of my plans work out I will be working on the third book in The Among the Dead Trilogy "Home". I'm hoping to get it all written and finished up in time for February to celebrate the day I released my very first book.

I'm crossing my fingers that it works out.

Other than that I will be posting release dates for a few of the projects I recently finished too. I've got a lot of updating to do with my website.

With the holidays coming up rapidly I probably won't get around to doing another weekly update for the year so I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and have a Great New Year.

Out Now!! Captured, Book 2 in The Angels Evermore Series

Now Available!!

Marcus has been taken and Piper is stuck without a clue as to where they took him. The only thing she can do is wait to see if Alec will give them the information that they so badly need in order to rescue Marcus.
After months of testing her patience Alec finally reveals something, but later that same day Marcus reveals himself.
He’s not the same angel she knew though.
He’s much more dangerous, and under someone else’s control.
Marcus warns her to stay away but Piper doesn’t listen, she only follows what she believes in her heart. She has to save him.
As she struggles to find ways to free Marcus Mason steps in to comfort her when everything seems to fail. He keeps her going even though he wants her for himself.
Failure after failure leads Piper into thoughts about giving up. Being with Mason seems like the easier route but her heart just won’t allow her.
Everything appeared hopeless, but there was still one option they had left. Piper needed to go before the council. She needed to reveal herself to them in hopes of finding who was controlling Marcus’s actions.
Unfortunately the council has plans for her.
Before the council places their plan into action Marcus does the unthinkable. He shatters Piper’s world and destroys any chance they had together.
Hate for him consumes Piper.
At the worst possible time the council sends her back home to her mother and sister but it comes with a price. She has to meet with the council’s seven sons.
She must choose one.
All around her Piper’s world comes crashing down. Not everyone is as they seem. They’re far more dangerous than she could ever imagine.
Lies spring to light.
She’s been betrayed by the one person she had cared about the most.
Her heart left broken. But in the midst of it comes a savior, an angel who can save her from herself and teach her what love means again.

Teaser Tuesday!! When Tomorrow Never Comes

When Tomorrow Never Comes

Snow cascades down around me as I stand still, silent, as a soft hickory casket is slowly lowered into the cold hard ground.
A single white flake falls onto my eye lash.
It doesn’t distract me from watching as my heart disappears from sight.
He was gone forever.
I would never hear the soft sound of his infectious laughter and
I would no longer feel the warmth of his breath fan over my cheek.
I felt so alone.
When the casket gently hits the bottom of the hole with a soft thud members of his family begin to step forward to grab a small handful of soil to toss into the hole.
I watch as they all file past with tears rolling down their reddened cheeks.
His mother stops next to me for a moment with her head bowed as her frail hand reaches out to gently touch my arm.
A moment later she continues on her way.
I hadn’t expected that much from her considering she had accused me for his death.
A dark shadow falls over me a few moments later.
I almost wish it was death coming for me, but it was someone much worse.
It was his brother.
He doesn’t make a sound as he moves to stand closer to me.
Bowing my head I force myself to stay strong in his presence. I had to stay strong no matter how much just having him next to me hurt.
It felt as if Cole was standing next to me and not Liam.
They had looked so much alike being that they had been identical twins. There were subtle differences though, ones that only someone that was close to them would see.
When he moves forward to take his turn tossing dirt into the hole I let out the breath I had been holding back in his presence.
Once he turns back around I bow my head again but not before I catch a glimpse of the hatred he held for me within his dark eyes.
Along with his mother he had blamed me.
This tragedy hadn’t been my fault though, it had been Cole’s. He had been the one falling into a pit of darkness.
It was something that I had thought I could save him from.
But in the end I couldn’t.
In the end he had left us.
He had left me with a deep hole in my heart.
               Cole had abandoned us all.

New look for The Hidden Angel

New Cover and Title Reveal

I've decided to give The Hidden Angel a new look and a simpler title. It will now be known as Hidden. I stuck with the same cover photo as before but I made a simple color change. I believe it makes it a lot more eye catching than the previous cover.

I've come a long way with both my cover skills and my writing skills in the past two years as you can see from the difference in the covers.

The cover at the top will be replacing the older one but only once my editing has reached the story. It shouldn't be long until that change since I will be jumping to it as soon as I finish my edits with the Alexis Rose series. Right now I'm nearly finished with book 2 of the Alexis Rose series so it shouldn't take me long to edit my way through book 3.

I'm also  hoping that with the edit of Hidden that I might find that spark to get me to finish book 2 for The Angels Evermore series.

The cover for book 2 has also been redone to match the newer one above.

I'll post more changes once they are finalized.

They had had three years together. Most of their time together had been perfect but there had also been some dark moments.
Cole had always promised her that tomorrow would come for them both, that their life together would continue on. It was a promise that he was always supposed to keep, but sadly for Eve life had charged forward while Cole had remained behind, his life cut too short by his own hands.

Luckily she finds an odd couple to take her in. They are her saviors, her instant protectors. Matt and Eric quickly fill her life with meaning again and with their help she finds a way to live with constant thoughts of Cole.
The only problem she ends up facing is how to deal with being home again, in the same town that she had been in with Cole. Not to mention that she only lived a few houses away from the family that had given her away so carelessly.
Now, she has to face her fears and face Liam.
She has to decide whether or not to pursue a relationship with the one person that reminded her most of Cole or to chase after the new boy across the street, Jayce.
Will she be able to love again, or will the memories haunting her keep her from finding the love she so desperately needs?
Truths are revealed and hidden emotions spring forth.
Only Eve's heart will be able to decide her fate, her heart will decide her future.

Escape is available!!

Escape cover
The second book in the Among the Dead trilogy is now available. The story continues where Alone left off in the town of Rosenberg.

Welcome to Rosenberg the town that promises safety and freedom from the infected.
There's just one catch, the town isn't all it’s cracked up to be.
River is quick to find that out but she tries to fit in and adjust to this new life. It is safe after all.
Making a life with Jessie doesn't seem so bad.
They have an apartment together and Jessie has a decent job that he does to make enough money to see them through. It would have helped if Davy and Kyra wouldn't have left them to fend for themselves of course.
But they can't do anything about that.
Trying to fit in River allows Jessie to talk her into going to one of the fights that the town held as entertainment.
What she finds there horrifies her.
The fights are held in a cage with human fighters pitted against the infected.
As she watches the horror of the fights play out in front of her one person tosses her world into a tailspin. In the cage before her fighting for his life is Zach.
There he was. The man that she had fallen for stuck in a cage like some sort of animal.
Unable to save him she searches for the one person who would understand her need to save him.
She had to find Gale.
Gale meanwhile was locked up himself in a room within Rosenberg's hospital. He was being treated as a human pincushion since he was immune to the virus that caused the infected.
When River rushes into his room in the hospital he expects her to hate him for keeping his secrets.
Instead she hugs him tightly as she falls apart.
She didn't hate him but she needed help that he couldn't give her.
Thankfully they had both made a friend in Rosenberg, Doctor Laken.
Jack agrees to help but when Zach gets bitten everything changes.
Jessie gets jealous and when Zach works his way between River and him Jessie shows his real colors. He shows the one side that Gale had warned them about.
The town that held so many promised begins to crumble from under their feet as the council tests them all at every angle they can manage.
They want River to fall.
River and Zach have other plans, they're going to escape.
The first to get away from Rosenberg Gale becomes their only hope.
But will they all get out alive?
Will River be able to save Knox and Matt from Rosenberg as well, or will they be trapped forever fighting for their lives in a cage filled with the infected?
Hope and love will be the only things to keep them alive.

Three years ago there was an outbreak.
River has been alone from the beginning, living in an elaborate bunker that her father had built in case of the very emergency that had occurred.
People were infected and most died, but a small few turned into rabid creatures that would kill anything that crossed their paths.
They were the creatures nightmares were made of.
As River survives on her own she ends up forced out of her shelter to find food, but what she ends up finding is trouble, and possible enemies.
Gale just so happened to be running from his own troubles with his brother, Evan, and two sisters that they had found along their travels, when out of the blue a new girl runs into his path.
With a little luck, they help each other out and end up becoming quick allies, but when Gale’s past comes around to bite him, will he throw everything away?
What happens when the trouble he and the others were running from catches up to them? Will River get caught in the crossfire? Of course she will.
Barely escaping the nightmare Gale brings down on her head she’s lucky enough to find the one person she had considered dead, and then she is forced to lose him all over again.
It’s like her life has twisted into one huge rollercoaster ride, one that places her into the arms of an old friend.
But again that relief is short lived when he turns on her. River soon finds herself on the road running alone yet again and far away from the most dangerous man she has ever encountered, Zach.
Zach gains on her quickly, and when he captures her she loses her heart in the process.
Once again her luck is tested when she’s taken right out of Zach’s arms by someone she had once trusted, someone that had betrayed her before.
Thankfully, she is saved from the new horrors he threatens by some new strangers. And with a single shot these new people will change her life forever.
Will she make it back to the bunker, back to where she belongs in her first loves arms? Will Zach be able to track her back down and re-spark the flame between them?
Or will she find safety somewhere new and in someone else's arms?

Every time she falls asleep she’s haunted.
She stuck in a never ending loop that feels completely real, so real that at times Parker doesn’t know reality from her dreams.
That is until her dream changes and someone new pops up in Gage’s place.
He was so much like Gage, but different all the same.
Once Parker returns to reality she allows her curiosity to guide her on a path that takes her to a familiar hotel where the Hunters stayed.
There she finds the guy from her dream, Blue.
He’s everything she imagined him to be but with one major catch.
Blue is a Hunter.
Parker’s world quickly spins out of control to the point where she has a hard time telling the difference between what’s actually happened and what hasn’t.
Everything becomes clear the moment her past dream about Blue becomes reality.
Only she can save him from the gun pointed at his head.
Making a split second decision she attacks the shooter. Her attack stops Blue from being killed instantly but it doesn’t stop fate.
Parker has another decision to make. She has to decide whether or not to change Blue into a wolf in order to save his life or to just let him go.
She changes him.
But that comes with its own consequences.
Blue hates her and what he’s become.
After everything she’s been through will Parker be able to win over Blue’s heart? Will she be able to turn his hatred into love?
Better yet, will Blue be able to break the cycle that Parker has had to relive?

And that's a wrap!!

Eden One Season One New
Eden One, Season One has come to an end.
At long last Season One of Eden One is wrapping up. I released the last episode, so all 12 are now available for purchase.

This project has taken up a lot of my time so I am both excited and saddened that this season is coming to an end. From the beginning to the end the story had taken on a life of its own. The end wasn't what I had originally planned for but I love it and it will be awesome to begin the next season of Eden One through another set of eyes.

Eden One has by far been the most challenging story I have undertaken so far and I will be the first to say that it at times stressed me out to get each episode finished.
It was rough at times to sit down and figure out what was going to happen next. But then again sometimes the story would just flow from my fingertips.

Such is the writers life.

My ideas for Eden One sprang up after my husband and I watched a few of our favorite space related movies. I toyed around with the idea of creating a world and even discussed it with my husband to get his ideas on how to go about creating a space type of story. From there it grew and grew but didn't take on a life of its own until my fingers began tapping the keys of my laptop and words were put to paper.

The world of Eden One, the planet and the animals, where actually from a dream I had one night while in the planning stages. I loved the thought of a world similar to ours but with vibrant colors and unique beings.

I also enjoyed adding the little back story of how the Duine and Gealtach ended up on Eden One. That is revealed through out the beginning episodes.

The names for the Duine and Gealtach have their origins from the Irish language. The translation for Duine is Human and the translation for Gealtach is Insane.

Season Two will be in the works as a side project so I don't know when it will be released but hopefully it will be ready by 2016. There will be many new characters in season two but also the original characters will play big parts as well.

Season Two will also explore some of the other space stations mentioned in the first season. Military - Farmers - Engineers - Scientists - Breeders - Doctors - Alphas. Season one focused on the Military and Alphas and you can expect season two to look at these as well but the focus will be more on the Scientists and Breeders stations.

Exciting, right?

I know I can't wait to get started. But first I must finish a few other projects first. For insights into season two keep checking back. I'll post teasers and a cover reveal as I work on it.

Happy Writing.

Coming Soon!!!

A Touch of Frost
Book One

Excerpt:

“I don’t give a damn what they think, Snow. I’m tired of hiding what I feel for you. I’m tired of pretending to be just your friend. You know I want more.”
In the next moment his lips descend upon mine just in time for another bell to ring and for a group of students to come out and witness our, my, first kiss.
Placing my hands against his chest I push him away breaking our moment.
“We can’t do this, Tucker. We just can’t.” I whisper softly bowing my head.
“Why not, Snow?” He inquires as he tries to move closer.
I motion between us. “We don’t belong together, Tucker. Can’t you see that?”
Shaking his head roughly he cups my chin bringing my eyes in line with his. “I don’t care that they say we shouldn't be together, or what anyone one says for that matter, all I know is that I want you, no one else but you.”
Closing my eyes I sigh softly.
“Please, come home with me, Snow.” Tucker begs softly breaking down my defenses.
Reopening my eyes I nod slightly.
He grins widely before wrapping his arm around my waist leading us down the trail and towards the road that we took home.

Early Release for "Alone"

Early Release!!

Alright, so I just couldn't wait a minute longer to hit that publish button. Of course the wait for it to actually be available on all of my usual sites nearly drove me crazy but here it is, Alone, book One in the Among the Dead Trilogy.

It’s like her life has twisted into one huge roller-coaster ride, one that places her into the arms of an old friend.

New Title for "The Invisible Butterfly"

A New Title

I've been busy this weekend doing exactly the opposite of what I had planned on doing, but in any case I edited "The Invisible Butterfly" and even added two new chapters to it to give a little more insights into the story.

I also changed the name. It will now be known as "Losing Levi". I believe after a lot of thought that this title better suits this story.

Along with those changes I've been working to put this book into physical form along with all the others that I have been working on.

Here's what it's going to look like.

This will be the eBook cover.

And this will be the book cover.

So, it's pretty much the same cover photo minus the butterfly on her shoulder. (and let me say that thing was hard to remove, but I nailed it.) Anyway, I love the new look and I'm really hoping it will draw more readers in.

Eden Grayson is a girl who had spent her entire life on top.
She had it all, popularity, great friends, and the boyfriend that every girl wanted.
That is, until her parents split up and her father leaves Eden and her mother for another family and another life that he had made while still with her and her mother.
Everything suddenly comes crashing down around her.
Her friends turn their backs on her and the boyfriend she thought she could count on leaves her alone.
Feeling lost and without hope for a better future Eden falls into a deep depression.
There’s only one who can save her, Levi Mackey.
As an outsider himself they quickly form a friendship that they both come to rely on.
Their strong bond quickly transforms into love, but when an unexpected tragedy splits them apart will Eden be able to survive?
How will she go on without him, she doesn't have a clue.
Eden fights her inner darkness as she mourns her loss, and with the help of her family and unexpected friends she will overcome it all.
She finds real love again.
But not before she finds herself.
And only then can she help those around her.
Eden, the truly invisible butterfly will emerge the most beautiful butterfly of all, leaving her pain and sadness behind.

Excerpt:
“When you have those moments just think of me, call or text me when you feel weak and I will always be there for you. Nothing about this will be easy, life is hard, we just feel it more than most because our souls have been broken and are raw.” – Logan.

Late Update

Update

I'm way late on giving my update, but here it is.

I've been working hard these past few weeks, going back through my older books in order to re-edit them, which is something that has become a huge task.
It's been more work than I thought it was going to be and it has set me back with everything else I've been currently working on.
I realized this past week that I missed a release date for Episode Five of Eden One, which will now be released this Friday, the 9th.
I feel terrible about being behind on this but I promise I will get this out and I will be placing Eden One, Episode One on Smashwords and Barnes&Noble hopefully today.
Now, while I've been between editing old books and getting new ones ready to be released I have fortunately been able to slip some writing in.
In the last three days I've gotten a total of 20,000 words written, which is awesome.
I'm making leaps and bounds this year so far.
There are many more changes to come and many more updates.
Also, I will be working hard to get all of my books put into paperback form as soon as I find a moment to breathe.
So, as for today and tomorrow look out for Eden One, Episode One on Smashwords and Barnes&Noble.
I'll post links on here tomorrow.

Thanks for Reading, and Happy Writing.

"Alone" Teaser

"Alone"
(Book One- The Among the Dead Trilogy)

(This part is told from Gale's point of view)

Searching through the titles of the books on the shelves in the living area that River had shown us earlier I jump back as Evan rushes into the room.
He throws his hands into the air. “I don’t know what I did but River just ran out of the kitchen and into her room. She’s back there now sobbing.”
“You must have triggered something, Evan.” I sigh.
“Or she could just be crazy.” Abby mutters as she walks into the room carrying a steaming bowl of food.
Evan turns to glare at her before grabbing the bowl from her hands. “That isn't even yours, Abby, that was hers and I can’t believe you would even think about eating it.”
“It’s not hers, Evan, I watched Gale give it to her.”Abby whines.
Evan snarls. “I’m sure he gave it to her for a good reason, Abby. Go eat your own food now before I decide to throw you out of here myself.”
“Just remember if I go, then so does Alice.” Abby warns with a smug grin as she moves past us.
Evan groans as he curses under his breath. “I really hate that girl.”
I nod in agreement.
“I should probably go see if I can’t talk to River.” I state absently. “Maybe I can fix whatever she’s going through.”
Evan nods handing the bowl of food over to me. “Tell her I’m sorry…for whatever it was I did, I didn't mean anything by any of my actions.”
I nod as I move away and down the hallway to the rooms. I knew my brother wouldn't have done anything to hurt her so there was no reason for her to be mad with him.
It had to have been something else.
He was the gentle one between the two of us.
At River’s door Alice turns to me. “I don’t know what’s wrong, Gale. She hasn't stopped crying since she ran in there and nothing I've said has helped.”
“Don’t worry about it, Alice. I’ll take care of her.” I state. “You should probably talk to Evan, River. He’s kind of beating himself up over this.”
She nods sadly before walking off.
With a deep breath I knock lightly on River’s door. “Can I come in?”
The only answer I get from the other side is the sound of crying.
Placing my hand on the handle I push myself to just open it and walk in.
River needed someone to talk, she needed me.
Thankfully the door is unlocked.
Opening the door slowly I walk in.
The room was dark but the little bit of light shining through the open door was just enough to allow me to see River curled into a ball covered in red satin blankets.
She looked so small laying there in such a large bed.
“River, are you alright?” I question softly as I sit down on the edge of her bed placing the bowl of food on the nightstand.
She moves to hide her face from me and I smile sadly.
“Did my brother do or say something wrong?” I inquire next.
Just as I thought she gives me no answer.
“I brought your food. I know you have to be hungry.” I change the subject.
As if on cue, her stomach growls loudly.
She curses softly as she pulls the blanket away from her face.
“It wasn't anything that Evan did.” She whispers as she wipes her face.
I motion for her to sit up and when she does I place a pillow in her lap and then place the bowl of warm food in front of her.
She smiles sadly as she takes the spoon from my outstretched hand.
